    That 2-pack looks horrendous.

Not really interested in the other stuff. Gears looks pretty neat I guess, but I'm still not a huge fan of the concept.

that wal-mart 2 pack is gonna keep the shelves nice and toasty. The stealth force minus megatron is relevant to my interests.

Re: The deco of the Starscream/Mudflap two-pack... it even seems to go against some of the things I would think a graphic designer would be aware of when preparing it. You've got a yellow box and two off-white/beige toys - nothing "pops" when you're looking at it. Shelfwarmer indeed.

These battle packs will most likely be out for the holidays, when anything sells and retailers want as much product as possible on the shelves.

Sweet a walmart pack. I was planning to get the desert frosted mudflap anyway. Starscream might actually keep it from shelf warming especially if the price winds below $30.

It looks a bit brighter than the ROTF starscream.

Good point. Which reminds me of this certain blue toy on a blue card.

A white ROTF Voyager class Starscream?

    That's just perfect for me!

I can get 3 of these and dye them in the same color sceme as:

    2007 Movie Voyager Thundercracker
    [IMG]

and ROTF Voyagers Ramjet & Skywarp!
    [IMG][IMG]

Removing the tatoos will be no problem for me and my Dremel rotary tool. The only catch for me is that I need to:

    A) Carefully disassemble one at a time so that I can dye the parts in the same color scheme!

    B) Find someone who is willing and able to redesign & cast the heads from these figures so they can fit and design a removable "cone" for the figures' redesigned Ramjet head!

yeah, i predict these'll be keeping Tuner Mudflap company until they clearance them out. Just terrible. (especially compared to some of the other exclusive battlepacks we saw @ Botcon with pretty incredible decos)
I'm really not so sure about that. They seem more like something clueless parents/adults will buy for kids, who'll play with them for 5 minutes and then they'll end up @ the bottom of the toybox... I actually think they're kind of cool, just feel like A. the appeal is limited, and B. as a kid, i'd feel pretty screwed when my cool new Optimus Prime truck didn't turn into the robot on the package.

the potential brand dilution concerns me a bit, but hey, it's there brand.

wow, any of these decos would have be preferable AND more desirable. I'm actually really surprised they didn't go this route with Leader 'Screamer on shelves at the same time.
