Hmm, I wonder what's the altform of "KSI Boss". He was as big as Galvatron or Shockwave. Any ideas?

Is that yellow TF supposed to be his concept for Bee?

His legs match the Crosshairs concept.

Even though its obvious that all the artists were told to go more streamlined with the designs this time, I like Nizzi because his designs still look like "robots" and not overly human.

 

Slap some yellow on that Bee and it's MINE

Nice! Hey, Hasbro, give us a Leader two-headed Shockwave and we'll call it evens for us not getting a Leader Shockles back in DOTM.

I dig the design on the KSI boss vehicon. Reminds me of DOTM Soundwave (all those circular ports look like amplifiers) and ROTF Jolt (the electro whips) having a baby, and this was the result. Wouldn't be surprised if KSI boss bot was, in fact, built from parts taken from those two Transformers.

Very cool concept art. Being a developing graphic artist myself, I love seeing this stuff and it gives me some ideas on shading, filters, and other digital drawing & coloring techniques.


Questions:
1)Who's that robot with the blue electro-whips? Is that a Cyclonus concept?
2)Creator Hands-interesting-IF the Quintessons show up in TF5 then they are going to be HUGE!!

Also, is it just me, or do I actually see the tachometer, speedometer and other dashboard components making up Crosshairs', and Rusty Evasion Optimus' arms???? I would love to pick Josh Nizzi's, Vitaly Bulgarov's, and the other artists' brains.

 

The whip robot doesn't have a name other than the 'KSI Boss' moniker the art gives. It's based on a design Nizzi did for a Robot Design tutorial DVD.

And, several early Crosshairs designs have dashboard components on the forearm. You can actually see them on his Deluxe Class toy's left arm.

 

As much as I dig the trenchcoat look, that Crosshairs design is waaay better, save for the mohawked head. Looks like it'd have been easy to turn into a toy though, it's transformation is really easy to figure out.

Surprised to see that Hound and Drift aren't there though. They felt like Nizzi-designs. Or maybe he's yet to upload them.

And judging from this, Silver Knight Optimus is the upgrade he got in the ship after freeing the Dinobots. Definitely explains the sudden thrusters, and why he never transformed afterwards.
