Someday someone will make a decent looking Silverbolt. At this point nobody has. Not Hasbro, not TFC, nobody. Plane mode is OK, but robot? Fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

 

I wouldn't take that thing from Hasbro even if it was free.

 

But it was fun being creative, and seeing other people's creativity regarding new chests. It will be interesting to see how people polish Hasbro's offering.

 

No, the I-beam piece is mostly hidden. The white on Uranos is a warmer white than the Shapeways white piece, but since it's on the back, I just left it as is.

 

I got mine too. it is better than keeping the cockpit gun lying around.

 

Finally got my Uranos!

Love it!

Painted the upper chest red and plan to paint the thighs yellow too. At the moment I just have them spun 180. Have configured Uranos as G1 Superion with the arm cannon and wings.

Will likely get the SXS head upgrade and maybe Echo's thigh extenders. I am unsure how to remove Uranos's visor to paint red in the meantime. Looks clipped in pretty strong.

 

Just take his head apart and the visor comes right out.

 

I did that but it's really stuck in there. It has these clips up top too. Will look again though just in case I am dumb.

 

I just got the Wings set. The waist plate won't tab in at all. Has anyone had an issue with it? I honestly can't tell if it is too tight or too loose or if I'm doing it wrong. I figured I'd ask on here before I start altering anything.

 

I wouldn't mind Hasbro's latest version of Silverbolt so much if he didn't have that black tipped tail hanging between his legs. Looks like he's in the process of taking a dump.

 

Don't be afraid to apply a little force, but it should go in.

 

Have you spun his waist around 180 degrees? Should be the part with the hole in it.

Then a fair amount of force required to get it in.

It won't fit. The whole is too high. I had to take a drilkl bit and scrape off some of the bottom portion of the hole to make it longer. Gently.

After a little the waste piece goes in just fine

 

i found it tough to do but mine fit without any modifications

 

So I picked up a Combiner Wars Firefly on a whim today, and it occurs to me that a couple of deluxes this size might be better-sized alternatives for Uranos' arms, if someone could make adapters for the combiner connector points (probably would need to replace the whole chestpiece, which might suck) and some better hands.

 

You can always adjust the length of the arms by pushing in the lower legs over the thighs if they feel too long.

Have you got Uranos as well? A side by side photo might put things into perspective more. I'm not sure it would work but I'm definitely interested to see what it may look like.

 

Can't adjust the thickness, though. Or the monster hands.

Of course, the whites wouldn't match on the Hasbro arms vs. the TFC body/legs.
