Do you have any concept of the long-term game plan here? Are these meant to replace and/or integrate with prior TFP figures? Is this going to be a Kingdom situation where the TV cast all get updates?

I'm really curious how this plays out. I don't think I'm in the market to wholly update my TFP collection since the originals are largely great, but wouldn't mind a few upgrades like Knock Out or Airachnid.

Dont know why people find differing opinions so offensive. Everyone totally ignored my question: What exactly can they do to update the First Edition Arcee mold ? Give it wrist swivel and ankle tilts ? Reissues from Pulse make a lot more sense from a financial perspective. I dont think TF Prime fans are really demanding updated molds. I just think the TF Prime collectors who came late to the party are upset that scalpers are selling the figures for absurd prices. If I was Hasbro, I would scratch their itch by making those figures available again with premium decos through Pulse. It just makes more sense. In a side note, I see RED Arcees shelfwarming in walmart.

I think the new titan for 2022 will be the Landfill combiner team but with the Japanese name, Build King.

I honestly have no clue what their game plan is, at this point I'm just as intrigued as all of you are.

 

@CactusReporter Do you know if core class ratchet was the rumored new ratchet or if it's something different?

 

Your right on the OG tidal wave toy, that guys like a head shorter than Siege Jetfire. And while 86 Grimlocks a sturdy lad I cant imagine him being able to strike a pose with 2/3rds of Jetfire hanging off of each arm. What they could do if they make him commander is make him a tad smaller, use the budget to improve the combination like you said, and add in the Air Military Team to round out the price. Then we could recreate the scene where Megs takes to the skies and pins down Jet Convoy.

 

A transforming volcano would fit nicely with the Rock Lords.

 

I believe @Apollux said this as well but this core Ratchet isn't different from the other rumored one. So you'll be getting, this core figure, the SS BBMV ones, and the (still in development) SS86 ones.

 

I\'m confused by the SS86 Ratchet listing. Why would he be in the same size class as Rumble/Frenzy? While I\'m down for smaller sized cassette-bots and whatnot, the Core class figures are (for the most part) peg warmers in my area. Rat Trap might be an exception.

 

You don’t qualify as a Geewuner. A Geewuner would be throwing a tantrum because things that aren’t G1 are getting some love.

 

Or we can cheat and have Titan class Tidal Wave have deployable accessories that look like him but can weaponize Megatron.

 

But he was never in the show so what would a remake accomplish or bring to the table? The original is pretty good.

 

Not crumbling due to being made of translucent plastic would be nice.

Also "being available in this century" is a good reason to remake a number of toys.

 

It wouldn't be cheating canonically, it'd be mass shifting. This is just to get around the practicality of the limitations of physical plastic.
