TM2 Megatron was probably my favorite BW toy.
That's true to date, but I'm not sure how useful that framing is, since I'm sure that Metroplex would be the first case if they decide to revisit titans.
Hasbro has constantly been giving you G1 fans updated G1 figures for over 10 years now... I think you’ll live.
Life imitates art.
Give other series a chance for crying out loud! G1 should take the back seat for a change lol
Of the approximately thirty leaks across SS and Generations, only about twenty of those are G1. That's less than 70%! Of course us Geewunners are upset, do you have to kick us when we're down?!
I don't mind the titan next year being Cybertron Metroplex. I'd like to be able to get a G1 Metro, but I'll live.
Worst case scenario, I save $150ish bucks next year, because he just won't personally interest me. So honestly for me this is gonna be a win win scenario. Either we get a really damn cool titan, or I save money.
Because Hasbro can only make so many toys per year, one character's spot on the toy isle means another character has one less chance at representation. G1 Inferno getting a toy means one less chance for Beast Wars Inferno or Demolishor or Clench to get a spot.
I’m happy we’re completing the S1 BW cast.
This is a dumb argument. There's a finite number of releases in a given time period, but not really over an extended period of time. More directly, it's absurd to blame fans of one character or another for these development and release decisions. It's fine to say I like thing or don't like thing, but when you say liking thing and not other thing is bad and wrong? That's a jerk move.
It is when its the same characters getting remade year after year.
EDIT: But it should go without saying, attacking fans because they like the UT or some other property is wrong. If you want to criticize a show or a comic, that's fine, but don't go after its fans.
this isn't technically wrong but its not the best way to look at it - we both know geewunners would say every UT or BW fig is a spot STOLEN from its rightful owner. Between G1 and BW Inferno, they could do one, both, or neither. There's also nothing stopping them from just expanding into another subline like they did with SS, and again with SS86 down the road.
Still holding out for that Legacy Clench, Hasbro...
Yeah, I would love him and Pyro at some point.
I just want all the groups that they started in WFC to be completed. The S1 BW cast, the 84 and 85 Autobot Cars and Mini-Vehicles (plus 86 Minis), the other Triple-Changers, all the Cassettes.
granted that’d take up a lot of spots. Though SS86 could take some of the load like Brawn and the Autobot Cassettes. Also obligatory mentioned of the remaining Dinobots in SS86
Sure there is, shelf space. They've already got 3 product lines at retail (Studio Series, WFC/LEGACY, Cyberverse) and 1 online only (Generations Selects), 2 if you count Shattered Glass, plus the Netflix, RED and Retro lines at Walmart. They can't infinitely create product lines, eventually retailers will cut back on orders
Obviously they cant create infinite lines. I was saying down the road, presumably after a few of the old lines wrap up, they can make new ones that cater to different audiences.
And its not like we're even at max capacity right now, unless the leaks describing the toylines for TF7 as "massive" were fake.
speaking of shelf space I wish I had more for these guys
When they expanded into SS86, the SS fans were outraged that G1 was stealing spots from SS. SS86 is replacing waves (or just replacing spots in waves) of regular SS, actually taking spots away. So, an expansion into a new sub-line isn't really an expansion if it is taking away spots from that line.
The only real way for Hasbro to expand sub-lines like that is exclusives or online-only lines, like the Walmart/Target/etc lines or like Selects.
All my shelf space is taken or reserved for these guys
I have even more Beast Warriors in storage. Pretty much just the different forms the cartoon cast went through on the show
