I assume that's why Jtprime was so surprised Hasbro was more confident in him than Star Saber

It was actually Energon by a decent margin.

Armada made the most, with Cybertron close behind, then Energon.

Some people point it to how Armada had the Pokémon-like Minicons and Cybertron had simply Cyber Keys, while Energon had the 2 bots combining gimmick.

I'm just at a loss for Cybertron Metroplex/Megalo Convoy in terms of execution.

Titan Metroplex and Fort/Grand Maximus weren't the most complex of transformations, but their alt modes definitely didn't feel like the bot was just laid down and sprawled out.

I'm hoping that MegaloPlex has updated engineering that makes him worthy of of Titan class. I was spoiled by Scorponok and Trypticon

Don't forget the transparent band-aid stars that cover popped spark-pimples.

I was under the impression that while Galaxy Force didnt do great, Cybertron was a hit in the Hasbro markets. Meanwhile Armada was just a hit everywhere, people ate that shit up.

Classics '06 was considered a risk, as was Kingdom seemingly.

I’d rather see a decent G1 Metroplex. The first one was a POS. Scorponok, Trypticon, Omega all great, but Metroplex and consequently Fort Max were trash.

It was good for the time but Scorponok, OS, and Trypticon were massive improvements

Yeah, they are better, but Gen Metroplex still holds up imo. His only massive flaws are the stickering and terrible hips.

For the life of me, I don't see why. Star Saber's only well known in one country, Cybertron was everywhere that there's a Hasbro and Metroplex is a more well-known name.

I'll never understand why fans of the different Transformers series are so quick to discount each other.

I'm 100% a fan of G1 and all of it's derivatives. But no matter whether you're a fan of G1, Beast Wars, A/E/C, Animated, Prime etc., or all of the above, I'm always happy for fans of the series that I might not be into getting figures of the toys and characters they like such as Cybertron Metroplex.

Liking one series isn't enough. You need EVERYONE to like YOUR series and that means telling them why their series is utter garbage and they should feel terrible for liking it

It's weird when Galvatron is the diplomatic voice of reason and tolerance.

Yeah, the chances of someone having seen Cybertron in their life is significantly higher than them being aware of Star Saber. Even at a bad time slot a cartoon in a major channel worldwide will have more attention than IDW comics or TFWIKI articles.

Generations Metroplex has a Classics-style design update, rather than being a more pure G1 design with improved articulation and engineering like in more recent Generations lines. I'm something of a G1 purist, so I'd prefer a new mold over a reissue. I wasn't collecting when it came out, and the secondary market is nuts, so that's the other reason I'm waiting and hoping for a new G1 Metroplex. (Fortress Maximus is fine IMHO, even if a little disappointing.)

    Exactly. lol

That heads up my point nicely. I'm not a fan of those other series. But, at the same time, I'm not against them at all. In fact, I appreciate all of them because they all work towards a common goal. Which is keeping the franchise healthy and alive. If the Transformers franchise becomes one sided and stagnant, it will die eventually.

In short, I'm happy for those of you who are getting an updated Cybertron Metroplex. I think it's awesome.

Those visits to Torkulon are really paying off! It’s a good thing Ratbat didn’t cut the healthcare plan in the last budget shuffle.
