I kind of like the story. Too bad conflicted continuities make my brain hurt.

Terrible, but free. Don needs to do a big lithograph of Blackout's Cybertron form.

The shining light in this comic is Bonecrusher's comments.

Yay! Now I'm definitely skipping Target on Tuesday. I was so excited to download this... and then I read it. WTF? Continuity FTL.

Yet. One day it will be possible. One day... ;)

I totally agree with you here. I'm not sure if I like the Target case or not, and now that I see the comic isn't that great... Best Buy for me.

BTW, I hadn't seen the previous Target comic, so I assume it was the same, but the red decoder boxes really annoy me. :p

Not a bad comic. I like the story and the fact that it showed more of the war on Cybertron.

Anyone else notice how Blackout's head crests in the early pages looked like G1 Galvatrons?

Regardless the designs are incredible. Every single Decepticon format is awesome, even fugly Megatron looks magnificent. PLUS this was the first TOTALLY DECEPTICON TF comic in years. Giving us more Movie Decepticon characterization then even the prequel novel or any other media thus far.
Personally, I would love to see an entire series of the war before the cube was lost.

The eye candy alone is worth the purchase. Don't care about chibi repaints of characters not in the film. So I'm still going to Target on Tuesday. That Transforming DVD case is historical & will go down as one of the treasured weird TF items in generations to come. One of those rare items you will remember and wish you grabbed when you had the chance. Plus isn't it like 16" freakin inches tall?? Thus towering over Leader Prime and making an excellent companion to the Optimus transforming gift card.

And the Cybertron part of the story doesn't conflict with the previous prequel. Just more backstory from a different perspective, skipping massive moments of time to keep the story flowing fast forward.

However, once they hit planetfall, the story turns into a turd. WTF? And the over-compensating of the characterization feels more like a kiddie book. Feels very rushed. But Don's art looks good, Wildman is inconsistent, but Josh did awesome with the coloring.
    ART: AWESOME
    STORY: weak
Mini comic Bundled together with a 16" tall Prime that transforms into a DVD case: PRICELESS

I'm sorry, that was atrocious. It read exactly like some free pamphlet you might find in a Transformers toybox. Turns the 1980's comic into a piece of Renaissance art by comparison.

Anybody figure out all the secret messages thru-out the comic (the red boxes use are suppose to use the Robo-Vision Decoder)? I tried to look at the PDF with the one I got from the game but I guess it doesn't work via LCD screen.

Ya know, to kinda help with the plot holes and continuity issues of this issue, I'll go you one step better. What if the Autobots were already here? Since Bumblebee was the scout, they sent him in first to find the Allspark. After he found what he needed, he sends out his signal and the Autobots come on down. They could have already been in a high orbit or even on the moon just chillin until the signal came.

So do we still have no clue about this being available with the two-disc SE version or not?

Points for Starscream being Starscream, otherwise it kind of hurt my brain. I enjoy the art, but I like the movie-verse far less than I used to.

So they just left Wreckage to rust?

    That sucks.

Good material for a Wrekage centric fanfic though.

I just finished reading it, I like what they did with Wreckage although it was obvious it would happen.
