5pk combiner, could that be the ROTF Bruticus Maximus repaint?
Here's hoping we see a 5 pk combiner defensor.. Wishful thinking?? Maybe.. But I can hope!
5pk Defensor, the combiner Hasbro ran out of cash to make. Yes please. Possibly the start of Classics 3.0.
Recipe for Disappointment.
950 - Transformers Cyber Ops Bumblebee ~$60
This could be the bumblebee we just saw a pic of yesterday, meaning it is larger than leader class. Or something new we hav'ent seen, but probably is a giant sports car anyway.
I did manage some crazy scenario where this could be the must have collectors figure this year:
What if its a small bumblebee in the power core combiners size class
(like huffer). And the "Cyber Ops" comes into play with a giant city bot style battle armor bumblebee connects to in its chest command center. and when you close the chest lights and sounds "power up" the armor making guns and the super robot head pop out. It can also convert down as a rolling vehicle similar in aesthetics to the star wars turbo tank.
Other power core figures interact with it. Also the super base's robot head is similar to bumblebee.
Ah. Toyfare is next month, there had better be something cool. It's a non movie toyline year! Give us greatness!
Yeah.. There's no better time than now with all that cash they made from RoTF!
All looks interesting, could easily be any number of things though, I do think the 'combiner' listing are to do with the power cores though.
5pk is probably 2 power core combiners battle pack type thing with like a bonus targetmaster type thing..
Disturbed by lack of Robot Heroes
Hasbro have axed them, see the Q & A thread for the full details on that.
Interesting. Nice delective work, Hoolagrin. We just need is pictures of these things and we're all set.
you win!!!!! i wish
i wish #2
I'm not sure, the one listing says 'Combiners 2pk' so a 2-pack from the 'Combiners' I'd guess, which would probably be the power core guys, but the other is '5pk combiner' which may be a different line altogether, and more like a set of 5 toys that combine together. For $20 it can't be very big! The micromaster guys were always in teams of 6 though so I have no idea what it could be.
The 'Combiners' tag was used on Superion and Bruticus in the movie line as well. Unfortunately I can only think of one 2-bot combiner of recent times that'd be that cheap, and that's Grimlock and Swoop....................
That's a pisser indeed. They're the only Transformers I was buying faithfully these days. I hope they still put out the last 2 movie sets.
Taste the sad, Michael.
Hmm. Very interesting stuff, especially the combiners.
I agree that the 2pk combiners is the power core combiners thing (just makes to much sense), and the 5pk really means nothing.
I hope it's a combiner like superion or bruticus, but since they had a 29.99 price point I'm not holding my breath.. It could be something micromaster size I suppose. But then $20 is the price of two deluxes, which I'm assuming is the size/whatever the 2pk combiner is intended to be.. So I could see it being one of those like packs of power core figures (like we typically see now) with some extra bonus thing thrown in.
Again.. That's all speculation, and there's certainly things I'd rather see..
What if it's some kind of power core combiner set where the two "main" bots combine together and they have 3 target masters together, that combine with the 2 main bots combined together?
That's a lot of combining going on there and I for one am all for it.
I, too wonder if the five-pack is going to be a repaint of the Constructicon Maximus set for the ROTF line seeing as the other two Energon combiners were re-released for it.
Some very interesting stuff here. Seems like it's shaping up to be a good year!
i was excited by the 5 pack combineruntil I saw the price, it'll be legends devestator unless a re-release on one of the energon ones (hoping for new limb bots if it is the case.
damn! lots of combiners is pure win but they will probably end up being exclusives
