How does the Masterpiece have the worst looking chest of them all to me?

but Hasbro wouldn’t sell it at an in between price so it would go to voyager class price regardless. The designers did state in a stream awhile back that they had originally designed different feet for the ER versions but they got cut due to budget.

Hmm. She's not perfect but I think I like SS86 Arcee a bit more than ER. At a glance, the core robot looks as good as ER (T30's greatest failing), but because her car mode is joined to her at multiple points it's at least a part of her, instead of one pin away from being two toys that happen to fit together. That fact makes me more forgiving of the car slab, especially since the entire car is present.

Think of it like Hot Rod. He's the size of a deluxe but sold as a voyager due to the budget and then the box was fluffed up with extra accessories. Same is likely to happen with the 86 vans

I do appreciate that they finally gave her a show-accurate polygonal waist instead of the smooth, round waist the other toys usually give her. This is clearly better than the Earthrise version and arguably better than the T30 version (definitely better if you don't mind the backpack). What's weird is it frankly looks better than the masterpiece version, notwithstanding the hollow bits in the legs.

For a character I already have multiple satisfactory representations of, I'm surprised to find this an insta-buy. Good job taking my money, Hasbro. LOL

The bad thing about the 30th version is that people always seem to use this very flat, horrible picture of her just standing there, while all the other versions have dynamic poses.

Never liked T30 Arcee or ER Arcee. Both are shellformers, so using either as the base for 86 Arcee is offputting. Sunbow accurate or not, if I'm getting any Arcee, it'll be the BB movie one. Sideways, meanwhile, still has awful proportions and an under-detailed chest. Somehow, Bumblebee is the best looking out of all of these.

Pleasantly surprised that Arcee is the T30 figure. Sideways looks okay enough to buy. DOTM Bumblebee isn’t bad looking either.

Knock Out’s face is so soulless and awful.

Ok, cool. I much prefer the T30 mold, and this hybrid one combines that with things such as better hands and added articulation. It's unfortunate that this lacks the energy swords and other, cooler gun, but nevertheless, I quite like it. That said, the improvements aren't enough to justify replacing my T30.

Just curious - how many here are like me and prefer the black used on T30 to the colors on Legends or this one? I know it's not "screen accurate," but I think it looks MUCH better.

That's literal massive step backwards with SS86 Arcee for me, refining the ER version could've been swathes better, just sort out a proper wieldable shield mode with Pavise shield mode option for the detachable part as well as drop the daft sprung mechanism gimmick for a simpler peg & port/tabbing detachment...
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
...tidy up the shoulder pods, and beef up the articulation so she can hold her (included & scoped) rifle in a proper stock against the shoulder viewing the sight sniper pose, or at least add articulated wrists. Then do the paint proper - Job's a Good 'Un!

I'm in the minority, but ROTF Arcee has the best overall Arcee design, followed by WfC. G1 is a classic design that gets bogged down by trying to make her look like a slim woman. Why can't female Autobots have big, blocky bodies too?

Also, can we stop overusing the word "thick" that would be great.

May just stick with Legacy Prime Arcee as my collections main Arcee and put T30 Chromia in her place on the season 3 shelf

I'm leaning towards no at first on Arcee...ER/Kingdom is good enough. Buuuuuuuuuuuut......WFC figures have a yellowing problem and I wonder how long Arcee has...

Shame about Arcee's back pack. Has-Tak probably read all the people bitching about the Earthrise figure's partsforming... glad they went to the effort of essentially making a new figure for SS, even if it heavily reuses parts/engineering from the previous figures. Sideways looks better than SS Barricade to me. Bumblebee is as expected, but I do appreciate that we finally have all three versions of him looking as similar as they did on screen, rather than having completely different toy designs. They just need to retool it into the Clunker, High Octane and TLK versions, though I doubt that'd actually happen. As long as hey don't base AOE Bumblebee on the Stinger figure...
