ARC-170, Falcon and Imperial Shuttle. I gotta hand it to Hasbro on this line. They may not be the best engineered toys ever, but they sure are giving it all they've got in terms of vehicle selection. And how come S250 has the first pics of an event in NY. Does he have a direct psychic link with Hasbro???
Despite how the bots look, which is a matter of opinion to some, I like how well the vehicle modes look on these toys. Over the years, it seems that TF's either have a good bot mode or an alt mode. It is rare that both are good so in this instence, I believe that they are good atempt and worthy of the market they're aimed at.
The Shuttle and Arc look like they could turn out to be very cool from this picture. I just wish that they would stop making robot modes that look like a big, ugly version of the pilot, like Jango, Grievous, and Vader. Even with the minifig, it still makes the mechs just look like those old Ninja Turtles figures that turned into cars and trucks. Thats really my ONLY problem with this line. They need to stop painting them to look like the characters and stop sticking an exact copy of their head on top. It reeks of the new Justice League and Marvel robots... i wish they looked a bit more "generic." And that Chewbacca head doesn't even look robotic at all... Clearly Star Wars vehicles work as poseable, transforming robots, but I think that the main problem is the stylings. Ex: Vader looks like a goofy Vader, not like a giant robot. Why is Grievous piloting a giant robot that looks just like himself, down to the last chest detail? Ok, so they were originally supposed to BE the characters, then they threw in the mini-figs and changed the story. So, why does Jango's bot still look just like Jango? And why do we still call them "Obi Wan, Fett, Vader" etc instead of "Jedi Fighter, Slave 1, Tie Fighter?" They ARE supposed to be just machines, not the characters. Its that kind of impression that I think is making alot of people turn away. Alot of what people complain about are characteristics that they would let slide on any other TF figure, so long as the design was cool and the paint was exciting. I bet if you kitbashed some Energon or Cybertron heads onto these guys they would rock so much harder, and if they were like that originally, no one would complain Man thats a mouthful... I've become "that guy" who complains about kids toys

I need bigger pictures than those to really judge the new figs... Gonna have to wait a few more days, I guess...
Hasbro's jumping on the "treasure hunt" bandwagon. Check out the silver foil on the Saga packaging in the center of this pic.
The vehicles look nice, the figure mode is laughable. I guess now that there are no more SW movies on the horizons the Star Wars brand will scrape away at the bottom of the barrel.
You guys don't have a clue about anything. The bots are PERFECTLY fine. If anything, Hasbro would go bankrupt if people like you were to run it.
