They nailed his robot mode

 

Nah, the blue on the face-plate kills it for me.  It\'s not movie accurate and breaks up the face.  They either put that blue there on purpose or chose not to paint the entire face-plate silver.

The most iconic part of Soundwave...the face...and they ruined it.

 

He has quite the nice range of movement, and is pretty big for a Voyager! And hey, maybe this time finally the \"AGH, MY LIFE/TRANSFORMER IS SO HOLLOW!\" people can shut up for once too, as both front and back he is pretty well covered up and solid. Do wish he came with 2 weapons for the alt mode to be symmetrical with a cannon on every \"wing\", though.

I really like that the faux window for the alt mode still looks into the chest cavity. Small touch but a great one.

 

I guess I'm the only one excited to see his alt mode....from other angles.

 

Not even 2 weeks and this has already been stolen from a factory   

 

IDK if someone pointed this out but it looks like the piece Soundwave comes attached to is also is in the box (the bridge show is shown in both - the red circle highlights it).



I wonder if he will still come with a backdrop?

I am too to see how much better it looks from different angles and since someone has him I'm sure we will see it soon

I wish, but I took a 4K screen grab of my digital copy to make a desktop wallpaper. I don't see any blue on the movie model faceplate. Pulled the grab directly from the first Cybertron scene.

 

The scene with all the shadows and smoke and motion and flames and lasers and embers where you likely can’t see an extremely small detail on a complex CGI model? You do realize that it’s probably insanely hard to spot, right?

Well I've been looking at that still every day since the movie came out so...

Point is, if the blue is so hard to see on a high quality image, then it's a very small amount...this toy has the entire center done up with one huge blue strip. Too off-model for me...ruins the head sculpt. It's even drastically different that that DLX image you shared.

You should really look up the CGI of the model before complaining, dude. That blue line has always been there on the faceplate. I noticed it when watching and I only saw the movie once.

Actually, here's your problem. You see Soundwave much better in the second Cybertron scene.

 

Well it sucks that such a small detail is ruining for you what’s shaping up to be a great toy. And, I mean, couldn’t you just paint over it?
