Hope her alt mode is similar to this so the backpack wont be that big

 

Don't see why a car with legs should be necessary. Plenty of figures manage to look like a complete vehicle in alt mode, and also not wear the entire vehicle on their back in bot mode.  

I just want her to look good in both modes!

See, if he was actually supposed to be a sci-fi Viewmaster, I would not hate it. It would actually be rather tongue-in-cheek considering Soundwave's domain is audio rather than visual. As of right now though, I'm convinced he's one of those Avengers-adjacent projectile wrist blaster toys.

I mentioned Beasts since that's the only other line currently being sold that's really different than G1. What else sells in volume besides G1 and the movie lines?

 

Probably Beast Wars given it literally saved the franchise in the '90s - which even Hasbro has confirmed before - and Armada, which skyrocketed it back into popularity with toy sales, albeit not as popular as it would become with five mega-budget Hollywood blockbuster films for promotion.

 

Arcee’s altmode can be anything for all I care, as long as they keep up the clean bot modes and focus on that first. It would be shitty to have all these clean bots then arcee randomly is just a shellformer with a massive backpack.

 

I honestly don't care since she never transformed, as long as the robot mode is good and accurate itll be good for me

Because hasbro can't do 3 voyagers in a wave and there's no place for him in later waves. We know that Arcee is a Deluxe for like 3 months already (maybe even more) so why questioning that

 

I think Soundwave turned into some kind of container carrying ship, so in alt mode, Ravage etc would get picked up and dropped like some kind of living bomb.

 

These look dope! I'm very into the BB movie designs. Might be the first wave I go all in on since like Combiner Wars

Getting the deluxes, indifferent on the cores. Soundwave is a hard pass.
He doesn't have an altmode in the movie, so he could've been anything: a truck, like the FOC/WFC games, would've been a logical choice, because at least there's a precedent, AND it's, you know, functional as a toy.
I don't see the point of him turning into a rectangle that doesn't look like anything just because in an unrelated cartoon from 1984 he was a rectangular boombox and they wanted some form of Geewun-ness. It's just not toyetic.

Maybe I just don't like Cybertronian modes, idk. It seems like half the time they're just an excuse to half-ass the altmode.

 

Don't know if I'll be getting any of them, but the Bee Movie 'bots look pretty decent, especially the Autoots. which seem interesting and creative as vehicles. The Decepticons... look nice in their robot modes. Core Shockwave looks like he borrows heavy inspiration from the Prime version of himself, if not actual toy design. Ravage turns from kitty to wadded-up kitty. Gotta quit mounting guns underneath quadrupedal animal forms.   Soundwave apparently turns into a manta ray that somehow managed to die on an interstate highway.

 

Now if only we could get a redo of Optimus.
He needs it.
Primarily in the legs.

 

I'm sure they're saving him for the Rise of the Beasts version
