Cindersaur has every right to be a dinosaur. Its there in his name.
Personally I hated the G1 Firecons.
$15 blown away (in 80's money)
But they've been getting some IDW love lately and I gotta admit that paintjob looks,,,, good.
So maybe I'll pick it up.
Outback is a pass for me, not because it isn't an awesome little toy, (in fact I highly recommend it!) but I already have Brawn so I'm good.
More for y'all.
Really? The Firecons and Sparkbots were fun little toys. I really enjoyed them.
I get why you would pass but the color scheme on Outback is unique so i can't wait to have him.
I'm actually fine with it. It gives idea on how to transform him "differently" than Brawn by keeping the shield/cannon/knuckle thing on the roof of the jeep so he will look different enough than just a redeco.
But Outback and Brawn should looks the same!
Besides it exposes the Gears/Swerve rear!
Except that Brawn's stock photo featured the same mistransformation, just with the shield/rear piece rotated the other way:
outback looks good--face and colors. I don\'t mind if he doesn\'t have a gun,
I do.... but he can have a spare Legends Optimus gun from either Pipes or Huffer
Would anybody else want a Fastback repaint of Outback?
Alright somebody from Shapeways get on fixing Outback\'s chest pronto. We have Brawn already so you have a head start.
I want them, digging the heads sculpts and colors, particularly firecon Cindersaur, but will pass everytime until my wave 3 priorities is completed. The 3 deluxe Terrocons, evolution Nemesis Prime and Optimal Optimus.
I've just noticed on top of Outbacks vehicle mode the shield has a little weapon peg. WHERES MY TR MEGATRON CANON GONE!?
I miss the days when I could actually find this in a store, without the need for "pre-orders" and disappointing drives. Back in the golden days, these wouldn't be a big deal (nor particularly hard to find).
Really, while these two look great ( ), I lament that they will just shelfwarm after a bit. Because a good wave of toys should ideally have some choices to appeal to as broad an audience as possible; making a couple of new toys per wave exacerbates the poor stock problem.
Consider this: a lot of Hasbro toy waves (i.e. Wave 2 and 3) do not appear properly on US shelves. Why not combine some of these waves and just make a larger batch for Wave 4? Then I wouldn't expect to see this toy soon, and I could just wait till June or whenever. (It must have something to do with pumping out product consistently and having a flashy catalog for vendors to NOT order from).
Now let's see if anyone can buy these before all the third-party sellers buy and re-sell as Amazon stock? Don't care much for the big guys, gimmie da legends.
I am partial to them as my dad bought me a Sparkstalker from Wien in 1989 on a trip (before that, it was hard to travel to any non-communist country here back then). I loved his sparking mechanism. And yeah his robot mode is short and ugly, as are them all, but they have this superdeformed charm. Especially once I realized that Sparkstalker is a chibi Gigan. Same beak+mandibles, same scythe-arms, even sort of has a buzzsaw on his belly (the wheel)!
Can finally get an official CHUG Outback!
Total pass on Cindersaur. Maybe if he had some mold changes to make him more of a freak show other than the colors.
disappointed that outback has no weapon.
Some photographer with no love for transformers, just out there to make a buck while taking pictures of lame toys. That is how I imagine it.
