Onboard computers didn't talk in those days...
so far so good i might actually go see this movie!
Actually... there was a voice interface even in those days.
Its been a while since you've watched the original series I'm guessing????
The computers on the original TV show did infact talk from time to time.
Lol. It has been a while.
Still. The Original Series' computer was hardly articulate.
That depends on what you mean by "articulate".
In the long run the computer's voics from TOS and TNG and so one werent really all that different in the words that it used.
The only difference is that from TNG and beyond the voice was much less mechanical.
And even in one of the earliest episodes of TOS they experemented with a human sounding and more personable voice for the 1701's computer voice....or have you forgotten the episode "Mudds Women" when the computer calls Kirk "hunn" and "dear".
I never watched TOS that much.
I don't know, I just don't seem to remember watching any episodes where the computer talked. Oh well.
So if your not a watcher of TOS why would you say that the On board computers didn't talk in those days?????
Its not like its a big deal anyway.I still think it would be great of Gene's wife did the voice of the Enterprise computers as she always has.
Welp, according to this, Nero is a Romulan. This bit worries me:
I just bought a (2009) Star Trek movie poster recently. It has young Kirk, young Spock and young Uhura on it.
Separate names with a comma.
