doesnt this contradict what we've heard from the new novelization spoilers? i mean, they say the 13 created created the Allspark, and that Optimus was there as well, but they made it seem like he was there at the time. is anyone else confused?
do you think it'll be different in the actual movie, explain it a bit further, or just ignore the dialogue entirely
it said optimus was an orphan... does that clear up anything? i have an issue on the NO STARSCREAM VS MEGATRON scene. there has to be one, or atleast for it to be a deleted scene.
did it? i need to get a better look at the spoilers i guess. and there still may be that fight-the biker babe bots werent mentioned, and neither was... um... i forget, but there was another thing left out. just cause it wasnt mentioned doesnt mean it cant happen. what im worried about is what they did mention and how it conflicts with the first movie. and i dunno if that helps, Optimus being an orphan. unless his narrative was merely him being misinformed, telling what he thought was the truth untill the events that take place. (MISINFORMATION CAMPAIGN GOT TO PRIME!!!!!) right-but if the spoilers are right, and he is a descendant, then he would have needed to be there-cause if they locked themselves up or w.e to guard it, then they couldnt have made him unless he had already been made.
The Transformers Universe always seems to contradict itself. Just look back at the very first G1 episode. The Autobots flew out to the drilling platform where Spike and Sparkplug were. Then later on they never flew again.
Reread the spoilers. The very first line very clearly states "In the beginning, the Allspark created the first 13 Transformers." Concerning Prime, I don't think it suggests that he was one of the original 13, but probably the last living descendant of the Primes. Going off the prequel comics, the Allspark is still the mysterious object it was in the first movie and creates a race of 13 members (the Fallen and his brothers who were not Transformers). It is also revealed that the Allspark requires recharging by harvesting energy from a sun, so the Allspark creates a new race of transforming beings to aid the original 13 in their search for and harvesting of energy from suns. The biggest discrepancy I see is whether or not the original 13 were Transformers. The defiance comics very clearly mentioned that the original 13 were not transformers, but were interdimensional beings....however the spoilers from the jr novel refer to them as the 13 original transformers. I expect most questions will be revealed next week with the full novelization.
Could be that the Defiance writer was working off of plot material that had been changed subsequently for the movie.
I don't think they are transformers in the traditional sense even though they are all cybertronian. Even in the original comics he never actually transforms. I think they may carry this idea into the movie to distinguish him as being different. The alt-mode maybe toy only but then again who knows.
From what i read, Optimus and the others have no idea about the original 13. He's right in that their race was created by the Allspark, the history concerning why they were created seems to have been lost to them. In the comics it has a point where it suggests Optimus doesn't even know what he is as far as being a Prime. Others point it out to him when they figure out the markings on his helm and start calling him Optimus Prime.
