Man, I'm definitely getting that Jetfire. One of the few figures I'm so absolutely sure about. Can't wait for the AE pre-oders to open and then to sadly wait for months until I get it. I see your point, but I don't entirely agree. It's definitely true that a CHUG collector would indeed, as you say, not get Fans Toys Phoenix, because that's MP. But so was Kronos. A 3rd party CHUG Jetfire would be X2 Skycrusher. However, the proper size for a Chug Jetfire compared to the (smaller) Siege leaders like Ultra Magnus, would be somewhere around the size of the previous leader Jetfire. Siege Jetfire is way too big for a CHUG scale collection. I think, and I know I'm not alone in this, that this Siege Jetfire is like CW/UW Devastor before, a figure that's sort of meant as an MP. Not a true one (slightly too small and not accurate enough), but along the lines of Hasbro/TT saying: look, we are never going to release a MP Skyfire (too big, too expensive and not important enough), so we're releasing a CHUG version that's big enough to fit with MP's. (We even know Hasui used design ideas he had for a proposed MP Devastator to make UW Devastator.) And in that scenario, a comparison to FT Phoenix is imo justified.
