Some more images of Sideways, I put the side panels on his legs down behind him to help him stand up on his own, helps get him into poses he would otherwise fall over in.

 

Bleh...not impressed with this guy in the least. Adding another gallery of photos to the frontpage isn't gonna change that.

Cheap looking unpainted silver plastic, sharded alt mode, doofy looking feet, giant kibble scissors...

...I am gonna save SO much money this summer.

 

umm actually the silver is painted on grey plastic, his feet are pretty rough though

Sideways has little chicken feet.

 

Anyone notice how we haven't seen any actual footage from the film on Sideswipe? Bay really must be saving him and the others for something special!

 

as much hate as im going to get from saying this, i really like the four tailpipes on the end of the corvette.

 

His feet look SO silly. And Sideways looks worse in every pic of him I see.

 

I suppose I'm among the minority who actually think Movie Sideswipe looks badass.

While I will admit that the paint apps in Robot mode could definitely be better, the inevitable premium version will be a must buy for me. I think the feet just look horendous primarily because they are mistransformed on purpose to achieve better balance.

I think if that black kibble piece was flush with the tire (concealing it) as I'm certain it should be, then it wouldn't look as bad. I also have no idea how much of a chore standing him up is going to be, so I'll reserve judgement in that respect until I've fiddled with him myself.

While I like the scissors idea and blade like weapons, I really do hope he gets some fire power as well in the movie. Not every battle needs to be hand to hand bot combat IMO.

 

I'm not quite sure that Sideways' feet are quite right there; Optimus747's picture review had the configured so that the wheels were the heels, and the little "feet" were toes. That looked like it made a lot more sense.

I do quite like him, though not as much as Sideswipe, who is still my pick of the RotF toys thus far; I love the arm blades, love the Mass-Effect-turian face, and love the unorthodox way the back of the car becomes the chest. The only blot so far are those doofy looking foot assemblies; I'm hoping that a more natural-looking transformation will reveal itself when we see the instructions...
