I mean, there's some differences, but these still seem pretty spot on to the little we've seen so far.

Perhaps they were but they're not allowed to show the renders clearly so early? Battletrap certainly looks quite accurate to the trailer at least, and Bee is as accurate as the outdated TF scheme Hasbro refuses to innovate on can be.

While the paint job is a problem, I feel like the bigger issue is that the physical head shown here looks like it was carved out of soft wax. Pretty much every edge and sculpted detail looks fuzzy and half melted

Battletrap's mouth isn't quite like what we see in the trailer. Also, the fact that he mentioned he was looking at Battletrap's concept art and how he said Bumblebee's SS counterpart was developed along side the movie counterpart just makes it sound they weren't able to look at the final render. I don't know. Maybe they got to reference some preliminary unfinished CGI renders considering the proportions do look accurate.

That’s my guess. The development of the toys is stated to take a while, so it makes sense that these would’ve been developed with early CGI models. The fine details may not be 100% accurate, but the general shapes and proportions seem to be spot on. Which quite honestly I’m fine with, so long as we don’t have another BB movie situation.

I mean it makes sense seeing as this bee is the evolution of Bee’s appearance in the Bumblebee film.

Bumblebee’s off-road muscle car seems to be inspired from Shatter. (Movie aesthetic wise)

I've seen people say that, but what if his brief shot in the trailer is like him screaming or something, and the mouth "lights up" to do so ala Dropkick's little green electricity stuff? We're assuming his mouth is a static fixture always ablaze with orange light and not, y'know, possibly a mouth that moves.

Along with the mouth the chest in the movie has his engine block. The toy doesn’t, so that’s an easy one to definitively say isn’t accurate.

    Has anyone mentioned the
    Transwarp Key
in Battletrap’s product listing on Pulse?

Bee looks cool. Don't care for the position of the wheels on the leg but maybe it's mistransformed? Kinda wanna pick him up but I'd want to see the rest of the figures first. Been wavering on whether to get rid of my Bumblebee Movie figures and not pick up the Cybertron BB figures either. Not that I don't like the movies or designs just kinda wanting to put some limits on my plastic crack addiction.

The tidbit about Hendrick Performance building off-road Bumblebee is interesting. I know Mirage, Wheeljack, Scourge, Nightbird, and Battletrap were built/worked on in California, but I was unsure of where Optimus Prime, Bumblebee (at least the ones built specifically for the movie), and Arcee were done. I wonder if they also worked on any others.

Well shit if this is the case then I change my mind about this figure. $24.99 and you're telling you can't add a few better paint apps. I'll wait for this to go on sale or I just won't be getting it because I call bullshit. Also very lacking for a #100 release.

Bee is literally asking for a custom paintjob. Which is what he'll get once I get my hands on him.

So far with Bee and Battletrap, I'd say they're for the most part pretty accurate to the final movie model (sculpt wise). There are still some inaccuracies like Battletrap's missing engine, but imo its nothing major when everything else is spot-on.

So it's safe to say we can expect the same level of accuracy for the rest of the ROTB figures... hopefully.

Heh. SS-01 was 1976 Camaro Bumblebee from the first live-action Transformers movie. And now SS-100 is 1976 Camaro Bumblebee from the latest live-action Transformers movie.

I remember there were all sorts of theories that we might get crazy fucking giant bonkers ridiculous insane stuff for SS-100. But there's something cozy and nostalgic of it being a basic deluxe Bumblebee with the same alt-mode as SS-01.

Am I the only one who is tired of Bumblee looking like he does? He needs a makeover
