Battletrap very much looks like what a deluxe used to be.

And exactly because of that it makes me extremely reluctant to pick him up

I adore his design and general feeling of the figure, but at €46, jesus fuck me

Yep. He’s definitely a figure I want to pick up, but not at $35 that’s for sure.

These price increases are gonna lead to nobody buying anymore

The future of Transformers will be grim if Hasbro doesn't stop being so greedy

    Greedy? You’re kidding right?

A company will sell for what it thinks it can get for it. Any less is gross malpractice by management who are simply agents of the owners, I.e. you and me (assuming you have a 401k)

If they charge an unjustified price, or set up a situation where they can’t sell at a price that people will pay that’s above costs, that’s again, malpractice. And who decides if that price is justified? You and I as buyers. Or non-buyers.

Greedy in business is only ever valid if there’s a market failure, which I think you’d be hard pressed to convince anyone that there is one in action figures.

What an extremely unimaginative and ugly way to mark 100.

Man I thought Battletrap was a Deluxe. Finding out that he's a Voyager and that Voyager's are going up in price is a real disappointment.

Bumblebee looks hilariously lacking in paint. That arm blade looks kind of sad, really.

The 2000s and early 2010s. You do realize there were TF toys before SS and the WFC Trilogy, correct?

Im thinking they’re assuming proportionately and parts wise it’s amounting to former deluxe realm. Like saying it’s just an upscale deluxe. Which most voyagers have been for some time.

What makes a toy a Voyager vs a Deluxe is the amount of toolsets they use. This number has been roughly consistent across size classes for at least a decade. So, no. That's not accurate.

So #100 is ROTB Bumblebee. Pretty much what I was expecting. I mean, they started SS with Bee, makes sense he'd be #100.

Yessir Sam bts on bumblebeeSam Smith - Hasbro ⚓️ on Instagram: "SS-100 TF7 Rise of the Beasts Bumblebee “POWER IS PRIMAL” What a perfect book end to the first one hundred studio series figures. Bumblebee’s debut as a 1977 Camaro from his appearance in the 2007 film being figure #001, and his modified off-road form of the 1977 Camaro in the 7th installment of the live action Transformers film for Rise of the Beasts being figure #100. Despite sharing some visual similarities to the Camaro form factor, this release is 100% new tooling. The figure does an incredible job of evolving the on screen bot from The Bumblebee Film into an off-road capable, rollbar heavy, winch ready, over-fender wearing juggernaut the blazed an unbeaten path with Cheetor by his side. Built by the legendary team at Hendrick Performance, this practical vehicle is absolutely insane. Every detail of this build was precision crafted to bring the conceptual car design to life. Ittoku Kuwazu was such a wonderful design partner to have on this item, and did an amazing job of bringing this character to life. I tried to keep a good balance of paint on the vehicle mode, with some exciting color reveals as it was transformed into the robot mode. I tried to keep the rear of the vehicle as visually interesting as the front, with many of the new components shifting to the back of the Camaro, with additions of the rear louver panel, spoiler and the blacked out tailgate. Despite being developed at the same time as the film, i find these ROTB figures to be incredibly successful at replicating their on screen designs. Though I might have gone stripe heavy on this guy coming off of the Dark of the Moon deco. NOTE: I won’t be sharing full Screen to Toy asset breakdowns prior to the films release out of respect to our studio partnerships. What are your thoughts on ROTB Bumblebee? Are you amped to see him in the film? What was your reaction to the trailer? Let’s hear about it below!"

Yeah that’s a shame. Transformation looks almost identical to all the other Camaro bees. Nothing new or imaginative with the transformation :(

Idk, anything new would be appreciated. It’s just kinda tiring to see the same exact transformation on like 5 bumblebee’s in a row, excluding the years of bumblebees before SS with the same transformation.

15 years ago they managed to get wheels on his shoulders/back, they should try that again.
