Battletrap looks so creative and cool, can't wait to get him and Airazor. Bee's alt mode looks fun, but that bot mode is so dreadfully boring to me. Really wish they started his character design from scratch for these newer movies.

Hard to tell, but from what I can tell from these pics, they seem to be separate non clear peices. I certainly hope so, as I've stayed far from other movie peices due to important peices being clear plastic

 

Nope. They look to be separate clear parts attached to a solid yellow plastic door. Would definitely be a much different color if it was painted yellow.

 

Hopefully even non-movie stuff has that.

So it seems the arm has the same tabs as the VW, Jeep and B-127 Bee’s so that means you can use the other sword on this version. Which while inaccurate is at least painted.

 

I really like the look of them both. I’m no toy engineer so no idea how easy it would be, but I hope they can retool this Bee into the VW version as the proportions are cute enough, and it would be a great upgrade to the previous one.

 

Agreed. So many things stay off my list because they're like half translucent which is a major nono for me. I suspect however it's more likely because bumblebee here only has like three pieces of clear plastic

 

same boat, haven’t paid full retail for anything except a couple of exclusives since we went to $20 deluxes… I got SS Perceptor from the Pulse 40% off sale earlier this year and still felt ripped off given how incredibly basic, small, simple and undecorated it was.

 

Bumblebee looks great. Face looks like it could do with maybe just a tad more paint or something darker for the face but I love how fairly clean and streamlined this looks as a visual update on his old Camaro design. Battletrap also looks great, I love the orange and he just looks in both the trailer and the toy physically intimidating.

 

£28 for a deluxe is insane. But what’s more insane is that you’d think that the price increase would be to keep the same quality…but no.

objectively comparing the deluxe VW Bee to this. The paint on the body is almost the same, in-fact the new one may have slight more. However, the lack of paint on the wheels puts the original above it. And then they face is just…good lord how did that get approved, it’s like carved butter.
And then the weapons, where the hell is the paint.

bottom line, if you’re increasing the prices, the quality needs to stay the same. I’m not asking for an increase, I’m not an idiot, it’s not possible. But you can’t charge almost a 1/3rd more for this new figure without atleast keeping the same amount of silver paint on the damn thing,

Oh, and that’s before you take into account that the original definitely has a higher parts count, just compare the chest, the head and the accessories.

It looks like this bumblebee is the dud of the wave, as Battletrap and Airrazor look, to quote peacemaker, dope as fuck.

Noting the pattern of size class assortments it’s a safe bet to say that 98 will be Voyager Cheetor to be alongside the voyager 99 Battletrap.
