Ohhhhh, I do remember this now. Does that mean it was never actually released till now? Man, that took forever to come out

 

We've know about this for some time but this is the first one I've see anyone have in hand? Amazon had it last year for $120, I passed on that and opted to get 4 TR Scourges to build my sweep army. Still it would be nice to have the new head.

Hasbro just threw them out in a warehouse sale recently. It's like nobody's buying them at all. (About USD $56 after conversion).

Now even the local retailers are trying their hardest best to rid their stocks.

 

They were indeed part of last year's Platinum line-up, but just like Unicron and "Rise of Rodimus Prime", worldwide releases have been minimal thus far.

 

TFSource just got this in over the last day or so. I've been watching as they've had the preorder listed but now it'sin stock and I just ordered one. The Rodimus/Galvatron set is still in preorder status.

 

I swear I saw this at TRU Canada a few weeks ago, but just assumed it was old news.

I personally saw this set at a booth at last year's B.O.T.S. convention in the Netherlands. Might have been TF-Robots.

 

Strange that they were never actually listed for sale anywhere in the US. You'r think one of the big stores would have had it as an exclusive over the holidays

 

If I recall correctly, Hasbro touted this set as an "online exclusive" at last year's BotCon.

 

I also thought some TRU's in Canada got them in. At some point it was pulled from their website and went I was in Windsor two months ago I had no luck finding it.

 

I actually have that set, got it for Christmas. I wanted it exclusively because of the translucent plastic done on them. And that translucent plastic is beautiful especially on Cyclonus. But Scourge is riddled with QC issues, can barely stay pegged together while Sweep stays perfectly fine.

I just noticed Cyclonus in that pic has different hands than earlier versions of this mold. He has two "gripping" hands as opposed to just his right fist able to hold anything and the left fist is closed. That's new!
