He actually doesn't look all that bad without the mech tech weapon. Although I'll probably pass on him. He is seriously laking paint. And as a fan of the movies, I'm still not seeing a lot that I'll be getting.
Hasbro's penny pinching has gone too far this time. I'm getting pretty tired of having to dig out the airbrush every time they can't be bothered to pay for 3 cents worth of silver paint.
so hasbro raped this figure of his paint aps nice job..... serously geting sick of sub par paint aps but saying that i already have a sideswipe from the movie how i work it if bb 1 is better then bb 2 then i sell bb2 and keep bb1 if bb3 is worse then bb1 then i dont bye it that way i keep my colection count down exception to these rules leaders and Human alince figures where if one leader is better then the other as in movie1 optimusprime and leader 2 optimusprime then i keep movie two optimusprime then sell the other also majour upgrades like the fuseing trailer which i will be waiting to see if the voyager one from the takara range hits the hasbro range
He looks better in these pictures, though he would look nicer with silver metallic finish than the grey. Maybe Takara-Tomy's release and penchant for the metallic stuff will see to that?
What are you guys talking about? If my car was a convertible Corvette Stingray concept I would totally paint it primer grey. Bot mode is pretty nice albeit bland in grey. Maybe its the angle, but his noggin seems a little large.
I detest the unpainted, cheap looking grey plastic Hasbro insist on using, and this takes the cake. Looks like a McDonalds HappyMeal toy....
These just keep getting worst. Already cheap looking, smaller figures, and covered in holes. These are just gonna be an easy pass.
Why complain about the lack of silver paint on Sideswipe but not about the lack of red and blue paint on Prime for example? Grey is close enough to silver, I'm not bothered.
Now, i'm always a fan of Alclad chroming a Movie Sideswipe. FR's looked really sweet, and i'm sure this one will if it was Alclad chromed. But it's not. And it costs a f***ing sh*tload to start chroming just for one figure. And not everyone has access to an airbrush. Even as a fan of custom chroming Sideswipe, this still doesn't work for me. I have to at least paint it silver, in which case i'd just go for the chrome instead, considering it takes a lot of time either way. Add to that, the figure really hasn't got anything that beats out the original ROTF Sideswipe (SASS was a piece of crap), including not having the scissoring effects of the original's blades, and a bleeding spoiler, which imo defeats the sleekness of the Stingray, and this one can go die in a hole for all i care.
