Well aside from me not liking the red head but that's just personal opinion.

Maybe there will be a head swap option later by third party if not Hasbro to go from red to black head Slag.

Seeing this new Slag takes me back to Season 1 in 1984 when the Autobots built the Dinobots on Earth. There was a kind of magic that only existed that year, when Transformers were thought to be robots that could just multiply by building new troops without dealing with a Matrix, or Vector Sigma, or Sparks, or the Allspark. It would be cool if there was a series that had continued down that simple path of they are just complex machines with a mind of their own that can multiply at will with no magical item needed to do it. Kind of like Terminators with a personality program. That would be down right scary!

No one was talking about character or the in movie failures of story and character, they were talking about design, transformer design and toy design. Aka toy discussion.

hmm, does anybody else feel that back feet are too narrow (I know they fold and probably this is the reason why they are narrow)?

Looks great. Total unit, as he should be. That head will be getting repainted. And then the inevitable toy deco Selects release will smite my efforts.

Daniel, the absolute quilt, that thing can get in the fucking sea. If you're not giving us swords, at least put some effort into the other accessory.

That's one origin I definitely preferred the Marvel treatment for. Even for the cartoon, it was a flimsy premise.

    Oh probably.
I'd strongly consider buying them all again in toy decos though...

So looks like all the dinobots are going for a hybridized toy/animation model design rather than "as close to animation model as possible"

That would be preferred. Animation model is usually far too simplistic.

I was referring more to how to build and kill transformers, not the origin of the species. I personally preferred the Quintesson Origin of the species over the Primus Origin from the comics, but liked things from both origins.

The comics did probably do a better job showing damaged not operating transformers getting repaired and back to operating condition and pushed the limits more than the cartoon did on how much damage a transformer can take and not die, but I can't remember how they built new transformers in it. Did they require Victor Sigma at some point to give them life instead of just Ratchet or Wheeljack programming them and making them instantly live on their own?

Not bad. I was wondering if the rest of the dinobots will be released in this series.
