The wings look only marginally less stupid than DotM Ultimate Optimus', but I like everything else. The little cars are I guess fine for what they are (Bumblebee looks like he rolls for sh*t, but oh well). And the piggy back ride thing is hilariously weird. I'm seriously considering this.

Interesting that he has two of Hound's guns as well as the gunblade things that Marky Mark uses.

This is also the most accurate vehicle mode for Prime we've had so far... Look at those flames!

 

The grill is much less nice than the leader, though. And the thing over the windshield.

But this one does have that silver bar behind the driver's door, and the silver thing low on the driver's door, both of which the leader lacks. And the silver trim on the driver's door (if that actually makes it to the toy) looks really nice as well.

 

Oh. oh.

that looks...terrible.

The paint job is great. The mold? Inexcusable. That is the worst kibble I have ever seen on an AOE figure, and that's saying a lot.

 

Might buy this to sit on leader grimlock. Size wise he is the best match for leader grimmy in dino mode.
The leg kibble looks detachable with the screws. The back tho...

 

Mold looks great, clever that they molded the skirt pieces onto the legs...
But this guy's kibble horrible - much worse even than either FE or Leader toy. Come on, there's even a plateau for a toy to stand on  

The new Optimus design is suffering from toy simplification on one hand, and an impossible movie transformarion on the other.  

 

Is it Cyberverse or even smaller?

 

My goodness. These leader Prime AOE figures aren't getting any better.

His legs remind me of Armada Prime.

Typically in TF lines, the increase in size equates to more impressive final product but with AOE it seems to go in the opposite direction.

 

Dear lord, these toys are horrible.

 

Great alt mode. Jetwing backpack isn't too shabby looking. Bot mode.... is less than stellar. Looks fun for the wee ones, at least.

 

In the pic where one step bb is standing on him he is roughly double it's height. I have the drift one step, and by this scale he is about voyager sized

 

For me,i feel that AD01 vehicle mode is more accurate than this LA01.

 

I don't like that mold.

 

Yah man,come to think of it,there is similarity to Armada Prime's leg.

 

  I actually kinda like how this looks.

 

The paint job is great but should not have use the First Edition mold.

 

This has nothing to do with first edition

It's a much smaller mould with kindles extending from the waist to legs instead of having kibbles all on the top back
