Hi Everyone,

I'm happy to say, Oracle is finally back up on Shapeways!! Oracle Ver. 2 is new and improved with a few upgrades to the initial design-thanks in part to some of your suggestions. I sharpened the edges on her eyes, lips and nose to better define her features on the prints, which will make her easier to paint. I added a bigger ball joint at the base of her head, giving her a tighter grip to the figure itself. I also smoothed out her helmet and eliminated the gap between the bridge of her nose and crest. The TF PRID Deluxe Arcee is fully transformable with the Oracle head print attached. Pictured below are custom paint ups of the original Oracle head, by two very talented customizers, Xaviercal and IcePhoenix.

Please be aware that I've only done a test print in the Frosted Ultra Detail (FUD) material shown below for the new model. Normally I would only offer "this" material for print, as I've not attempted prints with the other materials, but due to several requests, I have made some finishes available.

If you're unfamiliar with my threads, my goal is to create a new Universe called "THE VIACONS." Here's the log line.

“The VIACONS are a long lived race of techno-organic beings that reside on the sentient world of VIACON 1. Recently emerging from a millennia long war that decimated much of their population and leveled their once great cities-the Viacons seek to rebuild their Empire and restore it to its former glory. During the Great Viaconian Wars, much of their population were scattered across the quadrant, existing in small pockets of lawless outposts throughout the system. In the new order, the Viacon Republic and its Senate, have sought to reunite all Viaconians back into the fold. However, an ancient enemy, long thought extinct and only spoken of in myth, has made a silent return. Cloaked in secrecy, the Tecrom have infiltrated parts of the Senate and have begun undermining the foundation of its rule. The few who are aware of the threat have formed a clandestine resistance-systematically recruiting into their ranks, those who posses unique qualities that will aid them in their struggle to expose and ultimately drive out the Tecrom."


NAME: Oracle
AFFILIATION: Viacon Resistance
POSITION: Femacon Communications Officer

ORACLE's BIO:
Oracle is the youngest member of the Viacon Resistance. She was accidently discovered by Metal Head in a hidden stasis chamber, while arguing with Tempest about proper demolitions protocol, on an off-world scrap yard that was suspected to be a front for a Tecrom weapons depot; they had been tasked with destroying. Immediately taken by Metal head’s off color humor and transparent charm, the naive fembot developed a huge crush on her would be hero. However, the attraction was not mutual as he and Tempest viewed Oracle as a younger sibling unit. Left with no memory of her past and believed to be an innocent victim of her captures, she was deemed a non-hostile and allowed to remain with the Resistance, in fear that her release would bring harm to herself and compromise their operation. Tempest and her fellow Femacons were charged with guardianship of the young fembot. As its newest member, Tempest immediately began training Oracle as one of their own. Too young and inexperience for special outbound operations, Oracle was initially assigned monitor duty of field communications. But it was not until one particular mission that had gone seriously south, that she gained the moniker “The Oracle”-a title that in ancient times, was bestowed upon one of three female Viacons; a White, Gray and Black Oracle, that together, had the ability to awaken and some say, command the living planet in which they reside upon. It was on this mission that Metal Head almost lost his cover and quite possibly his spark- that a very distraught Oracle was witness entering a trance- like state, where in which she was able to remotely manipulate the state controlled power grid in and around Metal Head’s position. Miraculously, she was able to bypass any and all security measures put in place, ultimately allowing Metal Head to escape. With the demonstration of this previously unknown ability, the Resistance has come to see her as one that could turn the tide in their favor. However, with such a display, word of her ability has not gone unnoticed by the Tecrom, who also possess an “Oracle.”

I wish I could paint myself. But I'm modeling's my thing. But yeah Xaviercal and IcePheonix do incredible work.

I'm in the same boat man. I'm doing freelance modeling right now and would love something steady.

 

These heads and the fiction behind them are fantastic Tec, keep 'em coming. I have Tempest and Apex in my cart on Shapeways and i'm sorely tempted by Pit Stop. If you do all the not G1 Fembots, you can definitely expect more business from me!

Yeah, there is a lot of work that goes into each design. Unfortunately a lot time is just spent waiting on test prints. I really hate waiting.... I so need a 3D printer. But yeah just for you I'll do my best on that homage.

"Tec"....I like it. And I'm glad you enjoy my designs and the fiction. I try to keep everything fresh and interesting. Some of these characters are "very" different from the characters they maybe based upon. Folks like you keep me doing this...well that and I like doing it. Besides, I don't want my art and creative writing background to go to waste. LOL

Definitely love the girls, so you'll be seeing more. If you've noticed I've tried to design an equal number of guys and girls. Unfortunately we are seriously lacking good female molds aside from 3rd part offerings, but to do an add-on for those maybe out of the range of a lot of fans, including myself.

Tempest and Apex have a special place for me, as they were my first designs into this venture of designing bots heads. I'm more of an organic sculptor, humans and monsters of the sort. Pit-stop was fun, because I really like that mold he can be used with. The HA line was so fun!! Dude, and some are only $5.99 at HTS...you can't go wrong. Humans?....in robots? Who would've thunk it!!

I don't have a design. I was hoping to get a G1 head for the new TF Prime Kup mold.

I'm hoping this means you are already working on a head for the RID Kup mold? If so, FANTASTIC. I love your style and I'm sure a lot of us would pick it up. Can't wait.

 

the RiD mold for kup/Ironhide is kind of .... well ... get generations kup. and the igear head.

 

Never into that Generations Kup mold. Too tall and lanky for Kup, and seeing recent mods for the Prime Kup really works for me. Kind of like a younger version of him when he was living through all those stories he tells. Also more in scale with Roddy and GDO Springer.

 

That is another mold that has TONS of potential. Xaviercal painted that figure up as three different characters and they all worked VERY well. Its funny how its not really a Prime design at all. More of a Classics meets Movie-verse. Excellent. I really hope Hasbro puts it to good use.
