This is interesting. Considering the last couple of "space gun" toys had to have their modes as submarine and space ship molds would seem like hasbro is unwilling to give the term "gun" to any figure.

I have no good guess what this could be. If the Soundwave toy was going to be redeco into Soundblaster they would just label it that. Hasbro uses that name already. Megatron, no idea. Unless it's a new mold or a retool of something.

I'm actually amazed they haven't tried to retcon a new g1 toy for Megatron out of a g2 mold like the g2 tank. I know it's not the same, but its wierd not having any Megatron in all the g1 Reissue lines outside of importing a takara.

And they did, since we already got Soundblaster with the 35th Anniversary stuff.
So I highly doubt it's him again.

they could simply give us a RED(eco) of blue soundwave with red visor and an extra buzzsaw.... But that still would not explain megatron since he already had 2 very similar RED(eco) of the G1 version with cell shading and netflix.

As tigatron2002 so elegantly put it:

Which "guy posting"? Are you referring to @Jtprime17? He didn't "see" anything. He found Walmart listings. No photos. And I sincerely doubt Jtprime17 wouldn't be able to tell Blaster from Soundwave.

Or are you referring to the person who put those Walmart listings up in the first place? Pretty sure those are using solicitation information provided by Hasbro, not Hasbro showing someone at Walmart photos of toys and then saying "now write up a listing for it".

This reminds me of the time when a listing for "Mega Alternators" was found at Toys"R"Us, and people started speculating that it might have something to do with the "Omega body" that had just been mentioned in the story chapter included with the Japanese Binaltech version of Wheeljack. In the end, those ominous "Mega Alternators" turned out to be shrinkwrapped BOGO packs of existing toys. Yaaay.

So if I understood Nevermore correctly, he thinks this is Omega Spreem?

...no, that's actually a homage to an unreleased G2 prototype...

...the primary G2 megatron was a big green tank with a purple camouflage pattern...

...a year later, hasbro released G2 hero megatron, a smaller purple tank at a more-affordable price point...

...G2 hero megatron was something of an homage to his earlier G1 action master...

...G2 hero megatron has since been homaged my takara as three repaints, in their chronicle, united, and legends lines...

...late in the G2 line, hasbro solicited a grey-and-white repaint called combat hero megatron, but it was never released until last year's generations selects homage...

...surprisingly, the original big green G2 megatron has seen very few homages over the years: just a small legion-class figure and a couple of larger awkward repaints...

...other than establishing the precedent of his tank form for subsequent toylines, we're long-overdue for a proper homage to G2 megatron's original big green tank form...

Not quite. "Combat Heroes" was an early working name for the assortment that was ultimately just called "Hero". Not everyone at Hasbro got that memo though, so the unreleased redecos (which would have basically just been running change color variants) were referred to as "Combat Hero" in several instances. The fans then took that as an official naming distinction, which it was never meant to be.

What if theyre redos or remakes, they make a megatron that looks g1 and feels g1 but its not a gun but a tank
    And soundwave is something modern

They are, but they all think they're the canonical right leg and no one will switch over to another limb. It's why they don't get together much

one correction, funpub put out a homage to combat hero megatron using the t30 legends figure, so the generations selects combat megatron is the 2nd homage to the unreleased figure to come out, but the 1st that was widely available

So far, 35th cell shaded Megatron is my favorite recent tank Magatron. But I'd love one with shiny chrome paint.

Hey, another Walmart exclusive that's just going to sit in a container or in a warehouse anyway. Yay!
