Who is the lazy fool that can\'t Transform the doctor?
Who is it?
They gotta make the figure "kid-friendly"
Just like this is just a submarine and shouldn't be anything else
It’s in the official description, 7.5 inches, same as ironhide, maybe slightly taller
They are too low and the doors aren’t high enough on them. Looks like those kreo TF’s....
How do you know his shoulders can’t move up more? And they seem to be decently accurate. It’s really not the end of the world.
Because not a single shot or even the stop motion vid move them any higher up. Sure, world hasn’t ended (yet), but It doesn’t look good. Large backpack, horrific kibble around the head, and low shoulders = no from me chief.
Looks like this lol
Now I could be wrong, but I think that's how he looked in the movie. Your memory may have been skewed by all the figures having shoulders way too big and high. Similar issue when mpm Optimus was first revealed and people argued that the old leader was far more accurate when it was actually the opposite
You mention the stop motion vid yourself but still say "large backpack" when the video shows it compacting very well, and "horrific kibble around the head" when the video shows that most of the images are mistransformed in that area
Yeah I think that might be the case.
I posted some video stills a few pages back because I too had a clouded memory of what the figure really looked like on screen.
I was pleasantly surprised to see just how much the MPM got right, in regards to the actual CGI model.
Shoulders, top of the shoulder section, and back, to be specific.
Me seeing Masterpiece ratchet in the video: what a pleasant suprise.
Me seeing the new images and promo images: what did we do to deserve this.
Oh no guys Lockdown already got to him! D:
Yes they are and all the other online retailers have much higher prices than Target. For Starscream Amazon Japan was the cheapest for me.
Whoever transformed this thing needs to be slapped... Seriously please let this thing be mistransformed
You think the designers (the guys who spent hours upon hours engineering this thing to have so many precise moving parts to be as accurate as possible) get really pissed when they see these shitty official pics?
This fool is terribly mistransformed.
Absolutely! I can’t believe they don’t have some sort of approval process for the box art from the designers.
am i the only one who is slightly disappointed that the door seal deco and the Fire and Emergency deco are a bit too small and in the wrong spots?
Often times discrepancies like that are a result of playing around the panel line breaks and such. People noted that Studio Series Sentinel Prime's call numbers are undersized and in the wrong location, for instance, but to make them movie accurate results in that deco app being split across three or four panels, instead of just the one, and would probably affect how the toy is budgeted as a result.
I haven't put much thought into how Ratchet's panels breakdown, but I note, for instance, that the inaccurate door symbols mean that the symbols are centred within that door panel itself, instead of aligned to the full door, so perhaps that's a concession towards the robot mode's look.
Missed this; thank you.
This is all very true. I remember hearing how ridiculously big SS Brawl's head was when it's actually perfectly proportionate to the CGI. Most of us spend way more time looking at the toys then the actual movie (most bots unfortunately didn't get that much screentime and when they were on screen it wasn't always clear, plus how many times can you watch the same movie), so the proportions and details of an inaccurate design can be more recognizable as "correct" to some people.
I would be pissed for sure.
Probably totally different departments. Toy design and graphic design are different specialties (as is photography), and there probably isn't enough communication between divisions. They probably even outsource the photos to a freelancer, and these are VERY complex products compared to even most other collectables. No excuse, cause it's really lame, just an explanation.
Separate names with a comma.
