Aside from the backpack, robot kibble in the alt mode, and some minor nitpicks with the thighs and pushbar missing a rung, I don't really have complaints. I've been looking at it all day and the anticipation is already mounting! 19 cm is perfect scale for me as well. Ratchet is going to look so good with the rest of the crew.

This has probably been said by now (don't have time to check the dozen pages of thread I missed, haha), but just in case:

I assume the way-too-different green colours are just because it's a painted sample. I'm hopeful the final production version will have a much closer match between green paint & green plastic. (It would be nice if it were FULLY painted, like MPM-3, but that doesn't seem to be the trend anymore, despite the premium price point...)

Man, those videos really do the job.

Solely based on looks, I was was like "good, but not great", and then watched the stop-motion video, and now I can't wait.

I really wish that they’d stop misusing clear plastic. Clear plastic is HORRIBLE for hinges and balljoints, let alone used for giant parts. I’d rather have 0 clear plastic and unpainted windows that I can fix vs clear plastic that makes us the entire front of the car and coated in paint to make it look like colored plastic. And for what? So I can see robot kibble?

Optimus was really bright light blue. Hasbro MP-10 Blue when he was navy blue in the first 3 movies. And he also had 0 paint on the back of the the forearms, upper thighs, and gas tanks...

MPM-3 wasn’t fully painted. MPM-6 and 9’s vehicle modes were fully painted but that’s the extent of it for this line.

As per usual, I think people are being unnecessarily hard on this figure. This is the best Ratchet that we have gotten by far, and I don’t see how anyone can say that it just looks like an upsized version. I am very excited for this one!

This a million times. I broke both of my MPM-4 doors/chest and MPM-6's forearm where the windows flips down because the hinges shredded the joints holding them because they were way too tight.

Huh? I'm pretty sure MPM3 (at least the TT version I have) has a thin yellow coating on at least all the car parts. Similar to the red paint on MP10.

I doubt I’ll get this guy since I’m not much into the MPMs...but I think they did a pretty good job of turning a screen-accurate wheeled box into a fairly screen-accurate robot. And that back kibble is practically non-existant compared to a lot of back kibble I’ve seen over the years.

I'm looking at my MPM-3. He's fully painted in alt mode. Unfortunately the paint is thinner than it could be, so some of the plastic colour still comes through.

Starscream's articulation looks so natural and fluid! They did an awesome job on that robot mode.

Ratchet is looking pretty good too. Just odd about the missing rungs on his bull bar.

Love the design. Minor quibble being the shoulders too narrow; the CG model shows them as more broad. But I am getting it regardless.

Yes, it's been confirmed by Hasbro a few pages back that this is a sample and the production version will be better matched.

Hey, at least his chest isn't protruding from his stomach........:confused2

Seriously though, I do not own a 2007 movie Ratchet in any toyline. This guy will be my one and only movie Ratchet.
