Why does he keep interrupting the ads with that video?

No doubt about it... MPM1 has the superior alt mode and deco. The transformation looks fun and the bot mold is spectacular. Only mold gripe is the butt flap and head articulation.

Early KOs like BMB will not change that significantly. Unless someone like BA redesigns it, we can not expect much from KOs. Although I don't think even BA can modify this to the alt mode we actually expect.

That's kind of where I'm leaning. The leader one is so good this one is a low priority for me.

Looks very good in robot mode, alt mode not so much, will wait for the KO for better paint and most probably they will fix that butt with some extra part and add LED eyes like those Hasbro put in the trailer but not in the figure itself.

While people have made some valid criticisms in this thread, I will argue that this is probably the best representation we have gotten of Starscream in toy form. The jet mode does leave a lot to be desired, especially the undercarriage, but as with almost every jetformer, the kibble has to go somewhere rather than disappearing like it does in the shows and movies.

The bot mode is amazing, though. It’s almost like the actual CGI model stepped out of the movie and became plastic. With the inclusion of the back thrusters and the cockpit sinking into the chest, this figure has features and details that haven’t been on any official movie Starscream figure that has come out in the last 13 years. I’m excited. A minor nitpick that I’ve had is that the back wings of every Starscream figure in the last decade have either been formed by the horizontal or vertical stabilizers rather than the main wings of the Raptor mode. It’s nice that they’ve gone back to using the main wings.

Not too shabby, transformation isn't too bad either. If I passed by and so this at Target I'd probably pick him up. Some of the weapons looks a little too heavy for the shoulder joints in that video.

That's something I'm worried about also since the shoulders themselves are diecast

Those "leds" are only a video effect, not real.

Hopefully, they noticed in the retail copies and tightened up the tolerances there. Nothing more annoying than a bot who can't support their weapons.

Hopefully the shoulders are ratcheted(forgot if I heard clicks in the video aside from the hips) and hard ratchets at that, not the soft plastic ratchets Takara used last year.

Not too bad, i actually dig the jet mode.
The lack of articulation in some areas (bicep, waist, head) still baffles me.
Still much more "Masterpiece" than whatever the heck mpm7 was.
