What!? Lol, you don't know what you are talking about, what part of he is a triple changer you don't understand?, he is already more complex than MPM-10 whether is a clean G1 design or not and it has two very succesfull realistic alt-modes... but hey you are free to believe whatever you want to excuse this flawed "MPM" Starscream.

starscream is flawed because the jet doesn’t have a clean undercarriage? i’m willing to bet that no masterpiece style jetformer, G1 or Bayverse, has looked clean from the bottom. there will be kibble regardless.

Yes I agree, but for what is supposed a masterpiece, Starscream is quite bad in that regard, FT Ciclonus and XTB Eligos did a good job at hiding the kibble, especially the latter. Ocular Max Blastoff has a very clean shuttle mode and it also transform into an arm without partsforming... Although UT Dragoon alt mode is not a real jet, we have a humanoid Knight like robot that turns into a streamline quite accurate jet. I just was expecting much better from Hasbro, but the apologists came to defend their precious bot just because I pointed out that you can do better.

I don't hate the figure, but come on... we could have had a much better Starscream... :(

No more whining about the matter on my part.

He isnt even that clean. I see tank treads, around half of the turret itself sans barrel, I see arms, hes just so blocky and unpainted so it all blends in together. It will not look as cohesive with a physical painted prototype. Starscream looks such shit beneath because his design is so busy. Blitwing transforms from a block with wings and a cockpit to a block with a spinny shooty block on top of it to a robot, and mostly by flipping around. The underside is very kibbly, he just has less detailed kibble so it doesn't look as bad.

I think transforming from an avian Dorito into one of the sleekest fighter aircraft ever created is harder to replicate in physical form than a boxy normal humanoid shape that turns into a boxy aircraft (that still has kibble underneath).
Could the jet be better? Yeah, sure. Would it cost way more? Also yeah.

    Put up the preorders, Target!!

That Blitzwing is a 3rd Party figure, thus practically no budget constraints. A Masterpiece Movie figures from HasTak does not 1:1 compare to a MP G1 3rd Party figure at all.

I'm late to the party when it comes to new movie masterpiece figures so if Starscream is a Target exclusive how with that work exactly? Have they had exclusive high dollar masterpiece figures in the past? Are they going to actually stock these in stores or will they be sold more online? I've had the hardest time with some of their other Marvel and NECA exclusives so I'm hoping this won't be similarly hard to get a hold of.

    These new pictures are great!
It looks like the hips have ratchets in addition to the knees, hope I’m right! The square piece on the butt is kinda distracting, but hopefully won’t be that bad in person. And the F-22 mode doesn’t look that bad at all kibble-wise once you remove all the accessories (although the vertical stabilizers are too canted in the photos, they need to be pushed inward more). The underside isn’t the cleanest, but again, the robot mode takes priority for me and they succeeded in that.

Give me the Target preorders already!!
