Impactor looks pretty good in these images, hollow legs being an exception, he looks decent in both modes and seems like he'll be around the same size as Ironhide who was a fairly tall Deluxe, apparently.

Mirage doesn't look horrible, but he doesn't look great either...He seems relatively ok. The robot parts trying to hide out under the spoiler are whats really detracting his appeal for me.
I'm personally still happy with the classics Deluxe.

I would buy this mold for that.

I always thought Rack N Ruin would have a tandem plane mode. So they'd look something like a Cybertronian version of this:

No argument about Mirage from me. He's a pass I think. Impactor though seems less of a tank and more like a self-propelled artillery piece (which I suppose goes nicely with the name Impactor). With them, the "turret"/ fighting compartment is usually giant compared to the rest of the hull.

I much prefer chonk Mirage to toothpick Mirage.

As you can see, original Mirage was pretty thick, too.

Those gray arms on Mirage are careless. It's times like these when I am reminded Hasbro will never be as good at making attention to detail a priority as TakaraTomy.

Wish Mirage had more clear parts than just his shins. I don't need him to be clear, but that's kind of cool. But it's such a small portion, it feels sort of half explored.

Wasn't Siege Mirage designed by TT?

The figure was, but the plastic and paint is all dictated by Hasbro (obviously - otherwise you'd see white arms here).

Nah, it’s the proportions that are ruining them for me. Impactor’s tank mode is too tall and not wide enough. It looks like someone squished it in from the sides. It’s so bad it’s almost humorous.

And Mirage has all of that bulk underneath his spoiler, which just looks ridiculous.

I see what you're saying with M109 there, but Impactor's gun is smaller, there's side guns and a cow catcher on the tank portion, and his chest piled on top of the arms just decimates the balance. I want to like this figure, but based on that comparison it's still not favorable enough to get me into it. I looked up some Toy Fair images, since it could just be Hasbro's photography not getting the angles right, and they didn't bring the shoulder cannon so it looks a little better without that on top, but the ratio is still odd with the gun being stubby - if the shoulder cannon attached to the main gun, that might get it there. When reviews start coming in, I could see them convincing me on this figure, nothing's convincing me on Mirage.

I'm pretty sure that Rack N' Ruin were originally Cybertronian jets. A tandem plane mode would make sense for them.
