The huge gun makes up for the fact that we have not had a real Magnus in quite some time.

Guys, this may have been answered in another thread before, but...is the kit unpainted or does it come painted? Is it pre built or do you have to build it yourself? I pre-ordered, but I have never had a kit like this and I am just curious.

So, looking at this picture again...

    http://www.tfclub.com/toys/citycommander/cc_op21.jpg

...what size class do you think Magnus is now closer to with all the armor on? At first I thought it would be around Ultra size, but now I'm thinking it's actually closer to Leader.

Whatever it is, it's gonna look damn slick next to Jetfire, Silverbolt & Powerglide.

I seem to recall in another thread that it was confirmed that it would be painted. The unpainted shots were just prototype photos for initial marketing. As to the how built it is question, I can't imagine it being in a million pieces. My guess is that it will come in trailer form and then will have to be broken down in order to put together bot mode. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, I can hardly wait for it either...definitely going to be a favorite on my classics shelves. Still need to find a new Ultra Magnus as well...wish I hadn't parted with the Skywarp 2-pack on the forums way back when...doh!

Lol. It's not a Magnus thread without that joke.

I haven't seen anything so far to make me reconsider my preorder. The gun is a bit overkill, but that can always be left to one side. I'm looking forward to this.

The gun alone is bigger than over half of the classics line.

I would so buy this but I can't see spending 70 bucks on this when I could spend 70 bucks and get 7 deluxe TF's at one time. Sorry but my money is tight right now.

    indeed

the "partsformer"-ishness is what makes him able to retain some aspect of posability and articulation

    soyeah

    this thing looks gorgeous

    *cant wait*

Jenga puzzle partsformer or not, this is the best we're ever going to get unless Hasbro or Takara make a bigger, more detailed & more articulated plastic version of Don's G1 Titanium design.

I'll never have this one in alt mode anyway, so all the click-on pieces are moot imo.
