The WFC Jetfire actually looks pretty good without MP tuning, not to mention it does some things better articulation -wise.

Articulation is no big deal. I mean look at MP-52. No waist swivel.

Remember FT-10 is a 4 years old figure?

Yup, the WFC Jetfire is way more fun to play with than the FT version. But the FT version looks more accurate and is YUGE. As we have discussed many times I believe TT are really starting to share development between MP and CHUG figures. So as soon as the WFC released and I saw how good it was I was really hoping that TT was working on the MP upgrade version. I'm not expecting it to cost more than MP-44 due to a much simpler transformation and easier assembly at the factory, but who knows?

I would love an MP Skyfire but I'm also still hoping for more Decepticons.

    Skyfire is good news.
    But the cmmd is excellent.
I'm curious how you could do better.

Better news is cmmd rodimus pics
More trailer pics comparison shots next to hot rod really shows how big he is.
    Thanks.
Still curious if matrix will fit within.

    But Skyfire is a Decepticon!

    Man, fucking Skyfire...
Appeared in like.. 3 episodes? So damn exciting, suddenly feels like everyone's a possibility again.

Also no way they'll go toy influences for him since that's lawsuit territory, hopefully this isn't a Skids-style MP but rather a true toon one with full articulation.

MP-22 size would be just about perfect for me

I think this is one of those instances where the *3P option is going to be used as a standard, as it is really that good. I own it and never in my wildest dream would I have thought TT would do an official. Ever. Which I was fine until today (if the rumors are true). Can't wait to see what it looks like.

*not Kronos, that is a POS.

It will for sure have that nifty flippy Insignia that the Mainline Skyfire has (best thing ever really)!!! So you get the 2!!!

There’s ways to do it as a workaround without legal conflicts but at that point it might not look like Skyfire anymore. So given the cartoon accurate direction Takara’s been going in, I doubt it’ll happen.

Man, when I first got into 3P, Skyfire was always one of the characters I least expected to ever get a Takara release. What's next, Omega Supreme?

Hips that can raise more than 90 degrees unhindered by the waist, ab crunch somehow or a crunch at the waist, universal hinged ankle joints, spring ratchets instead of faux ratchet detents, better light piping, double jointed knees, more secure way for the gun to be held by the hands.

Yes. YES. Let them seeth. They lose power in the nerd culture department with every passing year... One of these days, they will lose Macross, be it through an offer they can't refuse or something else... Patience.

Yeah, if it was Valkyrie styled, it'd have to come from Bandai, since Macross is their department, I think. (Besides, HG would probably try to cockblock it.)

I don’t think Raiden will be an MP after all. I read he’s gonna be Generations-scaled.

The likely price of MP Skyfire would be equivalent of at least 2 MP Jazz.....

Well well, behold the glory of Jetfire indeed. Despite being such a huge character (popularity-wise and literally) I never thought I'd see the day he was the next MP. Colour me fascinated to see him!

Give me my son and give me him this year.

I love Skyfire to death, so even with FT Phoenix in my collection, this is one of the most hype announcements as of late.

Not entirely, at least in Japan..... Dependent on license per scale in Japan and licensors favor licensees if the latter sponsors their shows. So let’s just say for example, Takara got a license for a 1/32 VF-1 Valkyrie...they could presumably make both Macross variants and Jetfire, you just wouldn’t be able to order it directly unless you ordered through a Japanese retailer(or reseller outside of Japan who bought it from Japan).

my guess would be Star Saber size give or take and between 250-325 after discount. In this case size offsets the cost of having to manufacture tons of tiny pieces and a simpler transformation. And since they focus on cross-selling their products the price probably was be as bat-sh!t as people like to believe. Wonder if they are going to squeeze a gerwalk mode in to him.
