I mean if we’re going to use accuracy as the bar for whether it’s worth it or not, you better hope he’s bigger than the original voyager. if he isn’t bigger than the original, He’s inaccurate in size and therefore fails at the purpose of the line.

 

Well, Studio Series has always had more of a "ballpark" sense of scale rather than true perfect scale. So its really not that big of a deal if it is off by a little bit, it'll be close enough to work. Not to mention my use of "accuracy" was more so in how well it resembles the CGI as seen in the movie. If I meant it as you said it I would have used "scale", but this guy looks to at least be around the same size as the old Voyager so its whatever. But this Fallen is far superior to the old Voyager in that regard, who was based on the concept art.

 

Then I see no reason they can’t do what I suggested, make it bigger to be both more worth it, larger than the original, and fit that “ball park” scale.

 

But if he is already fitting into that, then there really isn't a need for it to be bigger. You just want it that way. Personally, I'm gonna wait until we see more comparisons with other figures, both in SS and the Voyager to truly comment. He should certainly be bigger than most everyone else but he shouldn't be gigantic, which is what you run the risk of when making him too big compared to everyone in SS.

 

I think the new leader looks bigger. Still, it is still larger than most leader toys nowadays. Aside the size, it's light-years ahead by having much more polished articulation.

 

So it’s ok for it to be smaller than it needs to be, but a bit bigger than it needs to be isn’t? Sounds like your just making excuses for it at this point tbh. He was a giant in the film, always was. Granted I’m also waiting to see better pictures to truly judge, but that photo next to jetfire sucks for scale comparison, only showing how much skinnier the fallen is.

 

I mean, I'm not lmao I think you're being really stubborn on it being bigger so it is what it is. I don't really mind either way if it slightly bigger or smaller, my point is yeah, it could be a bit bigger and still fit the ballpark scale but since it isn't and still looks to be fitting within in that scale then it isn't a problem. He was definitely big in the film, around 40 feet, but thats only 5 feet taller than Megatron and 12 to 8 feet taller than Prime depending on which size of his you go with (I personally go with 30 feet myself). To me being a "giant" would be like Jetfire, Grindor, the Dinobots, Devastator, etc. Plus aren't most Transformers already giants? What makes him so special?

 

For me one thing is certain, this Leader Class Fallen is at least even better than all the other Leader class figures released this year, I don't care what people think but this thing is way worth the money more than the likes of Legacy Blitzwing, Laser Prime, and I am willing to bet my kidneys that this is even better than the SS86 Leaders too. This legit is the only Leader class to wow me, and he doesn't even have a good altmode.

 

Oh for sure this is and that dragon Megatron are the only 2 leaders this entire year to catch my eye and get me actually interested.

i personally think that he's the perfect mainline fallen. also the old voyager and hftd figures were massive, and could very well scale with regular SS as they were so if hes the same size as them i wont have a problem

Can't wait for the KO companies to OS this bad boy and add the "enhancements" they usually do...

My wish list.

1. Posable hands with individual digits (like OSKO Starscream)
2. The blue "beard" segmented and be individually movable back & forth a little like he does in ROTF when he says "now I claim your Sun".
3. Either light piping or LED lit for the the red veins that run through his body.
4. Be scale accurate with the other BMB and WJ OSKO figures (So close to about 40cm high)
5. If there was a push button that could make other toys around him levitate and then drop down when you push it again, then I'll definitely get it!

 

For a studio series figure, these is probably the best I've seen so far. The proportions are there and it looks accurate for the most part. Imagine what a little paint would do for this sculpt.
