Let's say Optimus Prime died and not come back, who would of been leader? You think that the new leader would of been able to kill The Fallen? As it was said that only a Prime can kill The Fallen. So maybe whoever would of been leader would of taken on the Matrix as well. What do you people think?

On topic. Well, out of the bots introduced in the movies and that are still alive, I really see no one that would be able to actually fill Optimus's shoes... Perhaps Ratchet? I guess he could be leader, but never become a prime, as as I understand (someone correct me if I'm wrong), in the movieverse you are born a Prime. If so, then the new leader would not be able to defeat the Fallen. As for the the Matrix, I don't think having it makes you a leader, or vice versa, as that would mean that Sam was the closest thing to a new leader the autobots ever got ^^ But I guess that the new leader would probably take it, I mean, who else would they give it to?

 

Ultra Magnus. He's the only bot I can think of to be a reliable leader in the Bayverse, considering Sentinel went a bit mental. I also suggest Magnus because his altmode would be awesome, no matter what, and awesome altmodes make for awesome character designs.

 

Ultra Magnus wasn't in any of the movies, and he's asking about who could become the new leader in order to beat the Fallen who was in Rotf, so Magnus doesn't count. I think Ironhide would most likely step in and fill Prime's metal shoes, seeing as how he ordered the Autobots to attack in the forest battle when Optimus had been killed.

 

I don't think optimus would be happy to find rust in his shoes.

 

Excuse me. But Wouldnt Megatron "TECHNICALLY" Count as a prime, after all he is Optimus's brother.. So Megatron by all reason, could Kill the fallen if the fallen got too cocky.

 

I know he calls him "brother" in the first movie, but I don't think there's anything that specifically proves he's a Prime. In the video game adaptation, the Fallen promises to make Megs a Prime if he helps him, but betrays him, which makes Megs pull a Darth Vader and kill the Fallen himself.

 

Megatron is not really Optimus brother, he was meant to be, but the idea was later scrapped, when optimus said brother is now meant to refer as in "brother in arms", also in early drafts of ROTF it is shown that megs is not a prime, cause he was working for the fallen so fallen could make him a prime. (this however remained in the tie in media, but any mention of it was cut from the film

 

I'd probably vote Ratchet. He's Optimus' essential right-hand-man in the absence of Jazz/Ironhhide, he's a pretty tough Autobot himself, he's smart, he's calm, he's got medical training-

Yeah, I wouldn't mind Ratchet taking up the mantle if Optimus stepped down/died

It's Rodimus Prime as the new leader of Autobots,and he's Second-In-Command is Leobreaker.

 

If Ultra Magnus was in the Movie Series then he woud have been the New Leader of the Autobots or Rodimus Prime if either one of them would have to show up before they were cut from ROTF and DOTM.

 

If the fallen can only be killed by a prime, and Megatron killed Optimus Prime, couldn't megs kill the fallen

 

So we're talking about during ROTF. Ironhide seemed to be the one calling the shots without Optimus. Could he beat the Fallen? If he combined with Jetfire, yes. If not, I don't think so.

For a bot we've seen in the movies, I'd go with Ironhide, no hesitation. But if it's an entirely new character to the Bayverse, then Ultra Magnus.

 

Megatron would have let the Fallen destroy the sun then resurrected Sentinel Prime (Using the second allspark fragement - the one Sam had) in order for Sentinel Prime to kill The Fallen. He would of then formed a temporary alliance with Sentinel Prime who would have then taken out the Autobots - allowing Megatron to take command over both factions before he then kills Sentinel Prime.
