So I just got a new KO Wheeljack to replace my other one that was breaking apart and noticed this new one now has rubber tires, much cleaner paint, and better QC all around. He also comes in a box that is a direct copy of the original, rather than the Takara Tony label. His trademark still says Tony. I hadn't heard anywhere that they had redone him. Did I miss that?

Woah, rubber tyres? Tony may be stepping up his game to compete in the evolving KO market. Can I ask where you got him from? Most of my carbots from before Tracks are KO's and I've been pretty happy with their quality for the most part but if they're improving more and going rubber tyres etc I may have to begin upgrading.

    Where did you get that?

And yep, totally possible that KO makers are doing more re-releases of the MP-Cars. The market its still full of them even after the freking big sales around the world. They sell well, they make more.
If the fans and the market in general felt that the KO Tracks its better beacuse of the rubber tires... Why not put rubber in the old ones?

Honestly, idk, i dont want to have 2 or 3 MP Wheeljacks in my house, but his wheels must be something special with rubber.

I just got him off of TF-Direct, but he's showing sold out now. It would be pretty cool if they started redoing the KO carbots. The rubber tires make a huge difference in how he rolls and they do look better overall than the plastic.

I've been trying to find out if Exhaust exists with rubber tires too - anyone know ?

Tracks and Road Rage do - I hope they do the Nissans with rubber tires too.

Nice! I like neither the mold nor the character to be honest so I was never spending $80 for an official one anyways. But I need him to complete my MP Ark crew. Too bad we never got to see a Wheeljack war like we have with Springer, Grimlock, etc.

I ordered both Wheeljack and Exhaust at the same time and only WJ has rubber tires. Exhaust has plastic tires.

To me surprise, I also got a Wheeljack KO with rubber tires.

Came in a official looking Takara Tomy box complete with TF logo's and all.

Don't have much experience with MP KO's (other than the lambo's), but it clearly is a KO with slightly looser joints, the paint is a bit sloppier, and the whiteness of the plastic varied from part to parts, with the car parts not as white as the original.

But rubber tires is nice. Tempted to see if I can't swap out the wheels... Also noted that his packpiece is on a spring, which is new as well, I think.

I would suggest you just look on eBay see who is selling them and then ask them which sort they have.
Tell them you specifically wanted the rubber tyre version.

You might have more luck with any seller who is actually admitting they are selling KO's though.

I just ordered my 2nd KO Wheeljack from ebay. Hope it actually comes this time. Anyone who got one of the new ones from ebay, can you share which seller just in case (plus, others are asking)? Thanks!

Yep, been known for at least a month now, if not more, in the KO toy thread.

Are these new Wheeljacks still coming with the Hypno-Chip Disruptor?

WJ KO on the left, Exhaust KO on the right.
You can see the shinier tires on Exhaust (plastic)

I actually moved the top front tire off the rim on WJ to show you they are rubber (soft).

Edit: I bought both KOs from two different dealers on Taobao back on Sept. 10th.

Was there any other improvements in addition to the rubber tires? What does that box look like?

If they'd also given him a nice shiny paint job I'd have been all over this. That's the only thing the original lacks imho.
