I noticed over at Hisstank.com that Hasbro's planning a new line of 2.5" Joes. Unless, my math is totally screwed up, that makes them just about 1/24 scale. (2.5" = 5') At the very least, these sound like a good basis for Alt drivers. Any one else, interested in this?
If they're the 2.5 inch Sigma Six figures; I have seen those pics. I don't like them at all. I am not wasting my money on those figures.
Not that your math is screwed up, but I think most G.I. Joes are above 5 feet in height, otherwise you'd have an army of near-dwarves
I'm kind of figureing on them being over 2.5" tall. Marvel Legends are 6" scale, but most of them over 6" tall. I really didn't think they looked that bad. They're a little stylized, but not to the point of distraction.
The figures themselves are a lot like the new mini-Unleashed Star Wars toys. They are simply not going to look terribly good magnified - almost no toy that scale does. The main selling point of the 2.5's are the vehicles, which look awesome. The figures should come packaged with those. I don't know that any of them will be packed without a vehicle.
I don't know why everybody is saying they suck. The pictures we've seen are hard to see details in. And, as stated by others, the vehicles look awesome. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing one in my hands, just to see what they really look like. And this from a non-Joe fan who's been eyeing the Sigma Six stuff every since it first came out. I've never purchased anything having to do with Joe, but I've almost caved on some recent vehicles and Sigma Six. These, if they look good up close, may push me over the line.
Anyone got pics of these? Saw the Joe galleries, but I have no idea which ones were them (didn't bother looking at the tags yesterday and when I wanted to look today I had already forgotten the website...).
