What 20% coupon?

 

Just picked up MP Grimlock at Watchung TRU. There were 2 left as of 5:30 pm.

 

I was at the Garden State Plaza Toysrus express yesterday and there was some left over generations stuff (the voyagers were overpriced at 27 bucks) but I picked up skywarp for 15.50 which I could live with, anyway they have a buck of AOE stuff but it's marked up to 16-17 bucks a deluxe, I didn't see MP grimmy yet to my dismay, the mall has a a lot of transformers t shirts though, especially ones with G1 grimlock, there was a ton of them at hot topic if anyone is interested.

 

Secaucus has one MP Grim. I used a coupon code and got 20% off the other one. 967215

 

The Deptford TRU had 3 MP Grimlocks ($79.99 each) as of around lunch time. They also had several of the new Strafe exclusive 2-packs.

 

I picked up the last MP Grimlock from Mays Landing Toys R Us. However they still have a few YoTH Primes, strafe and slug exclusives, as well as Generations Scoop, minicons, skywarp.

 

Gotta say that despite knowing the differences up front, I am still disappointed in the lower quality of this item than the Takara release. Mold degradation aside, it lacks the paint apps pictured (red and white stripes? Really? Not hard) and the plastic itself is.. Less nice. Oh well.

 

Still don't know what this 20% off coupon people are speaking of...

I haven't been out at all lately, anyone see if the Route 4 or 17 TRUs have MP Grim? I think some people were looking.

 

Picked up Masterpiece Grimlock and the Evolution Strafe set at Toms River TRU.

 

Called a TRU at 10:03AM on Saturday and had them hold one for me, which turned out to be the last. Apparently, someone went in right at opening and bought 3 of them on the spot. Even though the guy might be a hoarder, I guess I should thank him for leaving one behind, even if it was a dented box. I might try again later in the week to see if they get more in to exchange the one I have.

 

Well... here's my tale... Just for shits and giggles, I called up TRU Rt 4 and they said they had two in stock, and that Rt 17 had two in stock. What did I do? I drove out there and...

NOPE.

Gone. Computer SAYS they have two, but can't find them on the shelves. Probably hidden away someplace for all I know. HAVE FUN!!!!

GOOD NEWS! Found them at Route 4 TRU where myself and another kind fella located and purchased them! Boxed were banged up though.

 

i just got back from rt 4 TRU and got a mp grimlock. a kind guy saw me with the box in hand and just walked up and gave me a 20% off coupon as he already brought the other one the store had, really classy guy.

he said he's on tfw2005 and his name was omegax80 at least i hope i didn't get it mixed up with another omega on this site 

i tried checking Jersey City for the both of us as the computer showed they had 9 in stock. all wiped out by the time i called.

i don't know where the kind gentleman got it from. i asked but forgot which site he printed it from. i think someone scanned it posted it on a site. i just tried looking for it but can't find it.

 

two ways of getting the 20%
1. The 20% coupon comes to you by mail
2. In our tru in queens, theres always a stack of coupon books sitting next to the guest service desk, mostly in the BabierUs guest. there you'll find the 20% coupon. you don't need to cut it, just take the item to the guest service, and pick up the booklet there and they willl rip it out for you. but before you leave don't forget to take a few more booklets, they're free. They do expire in 2 weeks.

 

Let me tell you how I got the coupon- someone posted a jpg in a Facebook TF group. I saved it to my picture roll and was able to have the cashier use the code on the coupon (which I posted a few messages ago in this thread.)
