We got a PM today asking us if we ever considered a torso extension for Siege Megatron similar to our Shockwave extension. We hadn't considered it since there have been several nice designs from other TFW folks, but we decided to take on the challenge of bringing something new to the mix...
So, although we thought we were done with him, here is our studio's take on a Siege Megatron torso extension: The Ab-Abber 2000! Balancing out the "legginess" that folks have commented about in regards to our various thigh extensions, the Ab-Abber set adds 10mm of height to Megatron's midsection, which combined with our 5mm thigh extensions, keeps Megatron at MP-10V height, but improves his proportions and adds a new twist: Ab Crunch!! He maintains his normal waist swivel since no modification or cutting is required for the install, and now he also has the ability to bend straight over at the waist for even more posing options. Superhero landing? CHECK. Fusion cannon recoil preload stance? CHECK. Lean forward to snicker in an Autobot's face before blowing their head off? DOUBLE CHECK.
As always, this is the basic design, and additional surface details can be added upon order if desired. PM for more info! =)

That ab crunch is very impressive! I'm also enjoying the sneak peak of Sideswipe as well.

now that's what I'm talkin' about, distribute things evenly! Ab crunch + shorter thigh extensions is nearly perfect balance for what you're going for.

Still not sure about the new noggin though. The proportions have always bugged me but I think I've figured it out. It's too wide/flared out on the bottom of the helmet and too concave at the top. There are scenes where it's more concave like this, but the bottom flat ring is shorter to compensate.

Sketch me a head design you'd like to see and I'm pretty sure I can make it happen! =) The stock head is also great too if you use a filler in the ball joint socket so it sits up higher to give him a neck.

Personally, I would love to see this sidestepped by giving him an IDW head and maybe an ab piece more like the IDW version.

Actually, I was working on the hands thing last night, no joke. The only setback is that the poseable hands I bought to test out were wack as hell and broke on me. I do have some fixed pose hands that will still work though, but only the poseables would've worked for transformation. =/

Very nice work! Do you have a comparison with Siege Optimus?

I can shoot a pic when I get home... I'm thinking that the Ab-Abber without any thigh extensions would be the better configuration to match Siege OP.

But then you'd need the IDW chest as well to maintain the awesomeness in those pics! At that point it'd just be anarchy! lol... I could do that look, but it'd be a commission project for us, which would start adding up in terms of price. Not sure if anyone would want to pay for that.

I think with the head and the abs that the G1 chest would look fine still.

Would it be possible to make the waste parts in white to go with the G2 version of Megatron?
