looking at the render, the figure head size is the part that make his chest look big but not that much out of proportion to that concept aside from that...well im becoming very interested in that optimus

The box label said TF ROTF.

Looks like the headsculpt borrowed some elements from the MPM-4.
The size could near HFTD BB Prime.
His arms are somewhat taken from the Evasion mode Prime.
His legs are "budgeted version" of the ROTF/MPM-4's or retooled from HFTD BB Prime's.

I'm concern for the back kibble and side skirt tires.
If it doesn't catch MPM-4's robot silhouette, I might think twice whether to get this or not.
I'm still giving this a chance, as long there's a HQ pic of the whole figure... Properly transformed.

About starscream.. thanks to that posted multi-photos of his release....
I wanna throw my ROTF voyager screamer hahahaha..

I sincerely hope that when they do the AOE/TLK Optimus Prime, they will retool the Transformers: Prime Voyager Optimus Prime since it's near identical to the AOE/TLK Knight look without being a shellformer. All they need to do is to find a way to hide the windscreens .

Wait, hold up. This window packaging doesn't give a hint of including a diorama. I thought all Studio Series figures were planned to include backdrops/cardboard dioramas, or am I missing something?

^now that you mentioned it... Yeah.
More likely the diorama are composed of folded cards tucked at the back of the figure's tray.

I'll be blow away if they can up the ante from TLK Voyager Prime and made an improved version of it.
But I wanna see it on the MPM line first. But it's not bad if it's show up in the studio series line.
Because if they can execute a PROPER TLK Prime, it'll be easy to make in the MPM line.

This makes me wonder if we'll get the cancelled DOTM figures in this line (Que, Leadfoot, and Soundwave)

LOOKS like it has waist swivel, like the mpm prime, but resolved in a better way, the two circles aren't against the blue pieces and now they're more far away from them.

Wich totally makes it not having a gap around the waist and legs unlike the MPM when you pull the legs all the way in robot mode.

All three of those saw a release by Hasbro Asia and Takara. You can still get a Que/Wheeljack on ebay for around $30, but I think most people never even think to look because of Soundwave and Leadfoot’s $300 prices.

Speaking of Soundwave, theres the Takara Lost Age Dark Side Soundwave(Movie Trilogy Soundblaster) that was released. I got that figure and I absolutely love it to death. It’s one of the best movieverse figues I own and I’d reccomend it if you want the DOTM Soundwave mold. But I too would like to see the mold used as Soundwave himself again. Hopefully one of the unidentfied deluxes in this line, “Sentry” or “Mercanary” turn out to be him.

True they saw Asia releases but now they cost a fortune your right. I think he meant a Hasbro world wide release.

    Fugly.

I don’t know why they’d bother making an inferior looking figure when they’ve made better alternatives in the past.

Now, I think if they had given this figure a nice paint job it would’ve gone a long LONG way.

I know someone else mentioned it yesterday but Optimus just looks like a retool of Evasion Optimus to me. The sculpting is different in a lot of places and he has some tooling changes, but it seems it's pretty much identical as far as engineering goes, at least from what I can make out from the awful photos we've seen.

It’s like a hybrid of that and the TLK mold. The legs are exactly the same as the Evasion mold, and the chest folds in on itself with the arms pointing forward like the TLK version to form the nose. Then you have the sides of the truck and the truck roof sitting on it’s back similarly to the TLK mold.

The black parts on the center of the chest are double hinges that are fixed in place. Then you pull those forwards(with the shoulders pointing away from the chest, but push the shoulders inwards to the backsides of the faux windows and arrange the arms. Then you do the legs just like Evasion Prime and pull the sides and the top from the back.

I need to see more photos of the Autobots because right now the Deceptions are the only good figures. Optimus looked off on the box pics and looks off now. Plus, Ratchet is suffering from Blackout syndrome with the hands. Still, Blackout was mistransformed on his box so I'll just hope things are off here.
