I like this figure more now than when I saw the first pics.
Interesting that it is in a different style of Generations packaging. Hasbro has stated that they want a continous Movie line like Generations, and here we them. Granted, the AOE figures were technically part of Generations, but this is different.
The more I look at this, I'm wondering if it's actually a heavy retooling of the Evasion Prime mold. Seems to have a lot of similar parts, especially in the crotch region.
Both the original leaks and the packaging specifically label him as ROTF Optimus. I’m guessing it’s just to do with how he has the swords, there’s no other difference between his TF2007 and ROTF designs, is there?
They at least share some tooling. Explains the way the front wheels are on the hips.
Well the ROTF one had the Matrix. Kind of hope this one does too.
This Optimus is bought. Welcome to my collection!
Optimus’ chest still seems like a mess of hinges, but I appreciate that they’re doing something different.
If there are in-package images already when can we expect an approximate release for this line?
Thank goodness this guy had his potato with him otherwise we would never have got this pic.
Some sources have said April, but if it’s like the regular Generations, maybe it won’t have a hard street date.
This suggests it could be January:
The two main figures that drew my attention so far were leader blackout and voyager brawl. Might just go for brawl because it is cheaper, has a generally more involved design, and it has the right proportions
Looks better now.
Good eye. Looking at it again, the shoulders look similar too!
Maybe this voyager Prime is designed for a future combiner mode with a leader class Jetfire? Maybe?
it's be nice to do something like this with a voyager prime.
Upper body: TFP FE Voy
It bugs me that the wheel placement is wrong. Otherwise, the figure looks pretty good.
Weijiang to rescue.
If we are gonna get another Jetfire I'd prefer it to look good rather than be compromised by the combining aspect; can it be done and make the figure look good anyway, sure, probably; can Hasbro do it... eeeeeh...
This looks a lot better than that previous picture, but I’d like to see more first.
Looks promising though
