We don't have windex here in peru, but the advice helps. I will try to find some sort of substitues later.

"Should we do red thighs, upper arms, and fists?"
"Why? He's a doctors, doctors wear white."
    "Head to toe?"
"I dunno, all the photos I've ever seen of doctors are in black and white."
    "How old are you?!"

I'm still gonna get Ratchet, but they could have included a red runner on those parts and it would have been more Ratchety. I suppose they're saving money by not including red crosses on the shoulders though.

As for Bluestreak, I'll probably pass. This mold hasn't done much for me so far, too simple for my tastes. Now if they made a blue one... ;)

    Exactly.
Red Cross is very stingy when it comes to other corporations that aren't them using the symbol.

Harmony Gold of medicine? Or is that too far?

Also why the MP came with red crosses with an autobot symbol smacked in the middle, included on only a stickersheet. Just to avoid crap.
Happy that VW decided it is okay to have one of their vehicle the VW Beetle as a character that "wages war" even though he is one of the good guys. It is the ever so offended people who are overly upset with these kind of things.
Sure makes me long for the 80s. When you call things by their proper name and people don't care what other people think or do.

That's a very negative way to view it. An alternate perspective that's not fueled by "but I want red crosses on my Ratchet because G1, dammit!" would go like this:

The Red Cross is an extremely well-renowned, internationally respected humanitarian organization. One of the very fundaments of their reputation is that their symbol must never be abused or used out of context, or it would diminish its meaning.

That's why they're so protective of their trademark. It's not about strongarming others with an extreme sense of possessiveness; it's about maintaining the purity of the symbol. They explicitly don't want to be watered down by being absorbed into pop culture.

If you don't understand this or think it's not a big deal, you don't understand the mission objective of the Red Cross at all.

I think at this point you should put this in your sig or header for the amount of times across threads you've informed folks :p

It makes no sense for a pre-Earth Ratchet to have red cross logos. End of story.

As far as I can tell, he doesn't have Red Cross logos, as they are copyrighted by the Red Cross. Insert
    Instead, he has simar logos.

Technically neither of these toys are repaints.

Repaints are actually startlingly few and far between in Transformers.

I’ll say it again for the new kids: Transformers was founded on repaints. Star scream, Skywarp, Thundercracker...also the base torsos for Dirge, Thrust, and Ramjet. Lazerbeak/Buzzsaw...Frenzy/Rumble...Bluestreak, Smokescreen, Prowl...Ratchet/Ironhide...all basically repaints.

Yeah. This is how it’s been for decades. Blue Streak, Prowl, Smokescreen were all Datsuns. It helps with introducing new product while cutting costs on productions. It’s nothing new, for ANY toy line.

Technically the base bluestreak figure is a repaint/redeco, just with new accessories, but ratchet is a retool

Red crosses are least of my worries. ToyHax would probably come through for that, or I can figures something out myself.

I definitely think he should have the red hands and red diaper though.
