He's also up for preorder in a three pack with Windblade and Blurr at BBTS.

 

Sporting the War/Fall of Cybertron look there. I like it. Even though I have the TF Prime version of him, was not a big fan of the long and skinny creepy Soundwave. I wonder how he got out of the dead zone this time.

 

I really wish I loved this cartoon. Because the figures are awesome. They look great and are easy and fun to transform. If I actually liked the cartoon I'd probably have the entire warrior class.

Soundwave will definitely be added to my small cherry picked select few of RID figures I have.

 

That is beautiful, definitely my most anticipated of the new RID Warriors... Tied with Bludgeon & Skywarp

 

Stereo mode is awsome! 

 

Maybe I'm just being persnickety, but I'm getting really tired of the exposed arms in altmode in RID15. At least have the hands fold away, if not fold the arms into some less innocuous saddlebag boxes or something.

 

Aside from visible arms and hands this thing don't look bad. Might even consider getting it.

 

That back looks kind of hollow, but it's not bad. Hope Reprolabels gets on this guy soon.

 

I really dig this toy. Is anyone else looking at it and thinking it would be the base of an awesome deluxe-sized custom Breakdown?

 

If it came with It's own Laserbeak then I'd buy it.

 

The figure looks really good, better than what I was expecting. I think combining the WFC and TF: Prime aesthetics really works here. My main complaint is that the chest is huge and really juts out. It is to the point that part of the head is blocked depending on the photo angle. It looks like the windshield/chest window might be a separate piece so maybe 3D printing a flatter chest piece might help.

 

This figure is essential (to me).

Lookin' good. Probably my most anticipated figure out of the upcoming RID toys.
Part of me hopes for an oversized knockoff of this guy. I got an oversized RID Grimlock KO a while back. Quality was great, so I wouldn't mind seeing that same group blow this figure up to Voyager Class. He'd be a nice CHUG Soundwave, if you ask me.

Such a cool figure. They took 3 of Soundwave's coolest appearances and mixed them into one.

 

I do like me some Soundwave.

 

Now that the world has SWAT vans with LRADs (Long Range Acoustic Devices) mounted on top, I'm starting to appreciate Soundwave being represented as an armored car type of vehicle more and more.

It works much better than a stealth bomber, drone, or satellite alt mode.

Maybe some day we'll see a Generations line release that gives him a more realistic truck w/ LRAD alt mode, like this:


The bulky LRAD could perhaps fold up a bit into a more iconic cylinder form factor for Robot mode.. I think this would be even more fitting for a character named SOUNDWAVE than a truck with what looks like Gatling gun on top.
