Personally I'd rather have one right than it being consistently wrong tho
Fair, but at least functionally it doesn't effect the figure at all so im not too bothered by it.
You take my big, fat, chonky, fucker out of shit tier. I won’t put up with Long Haul slander on these boards.
That's fair, and I know some KO's probably gonna happen where they fix that issue
Would anybody even know that piece was assembled upside down if somebody with too much time on their hands hadnt noticed it ?
I sure as hell couldnt tell...
Can someone explain the Long Haul hate to me? I\'m not pissed or anything, just wondering.
I didn't as well until somebody mentioned it to me, and now it bugs the living hell out of me
I'd say it's the fact that he's so clunky, the design makes his movements pretty limited
I don’t understand the hate either. You can’t expect to pull off hyper articulated poses with a figure as chunky as him. He didn’t pull any backflips in the two movies he was in so I’m fine with him being a walking brick.
I seem to be the odd one out with my number one choice!
1. Long Haul
2. Overload (assuming, since I don't have the figure yet)
7. Rampage (also assuming, since I'm waiting for Skipjack)
Loose ass waist, truck mode doesnt fit together without modding and limited articulation.
Yeah he earned shit tier
At that point they might as well make Scavenger and Overload yellow too, and just have a full G2 team.
Yellow arms, feet, hands, legs, chest, back, etc
Grey neck and red face.
On the face of it he's perfectly fine, accurate robot mode, convincing alt mode (although I do wish he was a little bigger, it seems wrong that's he's shorter than Rampage, but its understandable due to his role as a leg). But, he doesn't hold together particularly well in alt mode (the truck bed bows out, and the sprung waist joint pushes bows the bottom of the truck), and his torso wobbles due to the aforementioned sprung waste joint. I've had to modify my Long Haul (as have others) to make him somewhat better, whereas all the other Constructicons have been solid out of the box.
Edit: Changed for clarity.
Could you share some instructions how to fix it as my Long Haul has same issue...
Read through Long Haul's feedback thread (Studio Series Constructicon Long Haul), there are various workarounds for him.
For me my issue with him is more of a nitpick but he's tiny as fuck. Just compare him to Rampage in the film then look at their Studio Series toys side by side. It's sad.
I know his scale needed sacrifices to form the same leg size as Rampage but yeah that doesn't change the fact he looks terrible solo. He could've at least been as tall as his ROTF Voyager.
The problem is that in the movie, Rampage doesn't form Devastator's leg by itself. There's a second, smaller dump truck that combines with the bulldozer into a leg, while the Long Haul dump truck is a larger model and thus can form a leg by itself.
Even more absurdly, Studio Series Long Haul's dump truck mode is the wrong model for Long Haul - it's actually the smaller dump truck that combines with Rampage!
Usually when hasbro rereleases a previous figure as a new character with a new paint scheme, they use the budget they're saving by not having to actually develop a new mold on better and more interesting paint apps. Just look at Nitro Zeus and KSI boss, or cogman in studio series. There is literally no appeal here aside from it being slightly more accurate to the movie in leg mode. It's absurdly lazy.
Rampage/Skipjack were just recolors back in RotF, right?
Separate names with a comma.
