Early 2020? I was planning on keeping the SS Constructicons all boxed until I had the full set to maked Devastator and do one massive epic opening like I did several years back with the Matty Collector Voltron Lions! This will be one long wait on my end!

 

thats why they have individual robot modes, enjoy now while imagining devastator

Hes a leader class but hes pretty hollow in bot mode, I think they'll be able to get him to fold out so he towers over everyone else.

Since the first time I saw this, I couldn’t help but think that all of them but long haul, rampage, Hightower, and scrapmetal were simply place holders, they’re all too solid, it just looks like a statue.

I'm pretty impressed. Never thought Hasbro would do a movie devastator like this (with bot modes and being able to combine), and with not 6 not 7 but EIGHT CONSTRUCTICONS. This is definitely the crowning achievement of the studio series line.

I mean, they got the head design wrong (based on concept art) but I don't even care.

 

I'm going to be very disappointed if the head/neck isn't movie accurate, he was one of my favorite designs

I would like too see Gray-dark head like there, i like it more than red, but silver is just fine, good

 

With bot mode scale the main focus of the line it was given it would be big. Hell, the head alone is supposed to be about the same size as Bee(I think?)

if it will be to scale, I mean Scavenger/Demolisher would need to be a titan figure if it's robot mode scale for the components and devastator was the size of great pyramid and I have no frame of reference on a scale for that in action figure size like bumblebee

Which doesn't bother me at all.

 

A properly Studio scaled Devastator would be too big for most display shelves as he is a bulky beast.

However like the Black Mamba OS Studio Grimlock which is 90%+ there on scale, I suspect they will do an oversize variant but probably waiting for all figures to be released so they can fully appreciate the connections and articulation plus make improvements.
