Looks promising to me. Needs the butt flap sorting too though and a pair of aviators for those who don't want an expensive Delta Magnus accessory.

Kudos for the effort, i'd be happier with replacing the existing butt-flap with one that has a hinge and folds in half. Plus i want to see this from the back.

 

Of all the complaints people have had about MP22, I don't recall "he's too small" being one of them.

 

Kind of astounding that they're going to the trouble of doing this and still retaining the buttflap. Like geez I'd take a new roof that fixes that before I'd take a waist swivel.

But yeah like others have said the last thing on earth anyone wants is for him to be even bigger.

 

I agree with everyone else's feelings - why bother if you leave the butt flap. I just don't see the point of this at all.

 

I agree. I'm interested even of he ends up a tad taller.

 

And in a quick thread highjack, is the X2 shoulder kit for MP-22 worth it? I have MP-22 on the way and am looking at options.

Me, I couldn't careless about the waist swivel. Instead of addressing the main problem of the butt flap, they're going for a nitpicky stuff. The new abdominal plates doesn't look uniform to the existing body. For now, pass.

 

YES. THAT is worth it, but not this. I echo what others have said about this ... no interest what-so-ever.

Shoulder kit alone is worth it, but they even throw in a addon that attaches to his gun to make it not so dinky looking as well.

 

Strange that after so long this would even be considered for production. The only way I'd ever buy an add on kit for MP-22 is if it addressed the gaps between the leg panels and the bot.

 

Well... UM did have kind of a butt flap in some toon shots, so maybe they are trying to make him taller so it doesn't look as bad?  

 

Maybe it's just that photo, but it seems to overly elongate the torso.

That said, I'm definitely interested to see an alternate for stock UM's torso in the structural department -- his upper half is entirely supported by a thin diecast plate, with only a couple of tabs for secondary support. Definitely not a figure I would want to topple over.

At least it's a cheaper add-on. And definitely worth it. Wasn't hard to do that for him. Hope they release a set for Dia-clone Ultra Magnus as well.

 

We need a new Magnus, MP22 is huge pile of plastic.
