ROFL what LED are they using to make hardhead's light up like that?

 

Butcher has a red visor, so unlike the Hardhead molds, the lightpiping for the light actually works properly.

Peaugh shows it off in his review.

 

I assume it is either white or blue for the Hothead and Stronghold. Because red LED under those heads does not work well haha.

 

Looks good, loving the visor type eyes instead of the separation of the eyes.

 

This is looking really nice now. I dunno I was a bit turned off at first being so close to the hardhead/hothead molds but I'm digging the colors now and think he'll look pretty nice. Those clear-ish bayonets are definitely cool as well.

 

If you look closer it is not the same mold. Well the face I mean. It is a new mold. The red visor doesnt seem to show up that well. But when it lights up it looks great!

 

Yes, but I am not talking about Butcher himself. If you look at the pics, hardhead's upgrade have a VERY LIT up blue visor, that's photoshop, or they rigged the LED. I don't think its possible like that.

I thought about them changing the LED to blue/white (mind you, I think they are slightly more expensive then R/Y/G LED.) But either way, it would have to be a pretty damn bright LED (so it might be Ultrabright versions) for it to shine like that.

 

Or it could just be a long exposure shot to let the LED light shine brighter.

 

If they keep this head under 20 bucks, I may have to finally get the onslaught mold.

 

Yeah that's what I'm digging now about it. When it was first announced I think I just mistook it being a hothead repaint, which I can clearly see its not now.

 

The preorders seem to be around 32$.

Regardless, I'm super excited for this one. I think I'll end up liking Butcher more than BBTS Hothead!

I was in the same boat. I figured it was just going to be a different color, but after seeing the new mold, a long with the added weapons, I'm really digging Headrobot's work on this one.

 

It's looking neat, but I still don't really get the point of it.  

 

The point is: more guns, more robots. Things we can all agree are good.  

I might do this, a little pricey but looks great.

 

Daaaaaaaaaaaamn.... Those are some bright ass LEDs!

 

I wonder if they will make anything for the Botcon Clench mold. Maybe NOT the head, but the guns and knives add on would be cool.

 

That is very well done! I just shipped out my BBTS exclusive Hothead today. Looking forward to playing with it. I am half considering scrounging up an Onslaught and getting Butcher now as well... Hope they can get some future Headmasters too!

Though, I do wish they weren't so pea-headed in their small-robot-modes :/ That keeps them *just* shy of perfection...
