This is an odd situation : HA Sideswipe's altmode looks better than the deluxe (blue headlights, better defined rims, 'cleaner' panel edges etc.) but the small
mechanical molded details in robot mode of the deluxe are missing in this version.

I see HA BB has less molded tech detail than his deluxe version as well, although it doesn't hurt HA BB as much as it does HA Sideswipe.

I don't know where to find the picture any more, but I saw a couple photos of BB next to mirage in bot and car mode. Cars are roughly the same size (I don't know if the real vehicles are exactly the same size), so for all intents and purposes think of it as 1:24th scale!

The bot is bigger (but then my ironhide is the same height as my BT prime and the truck modes sure aren't the same scale so we kinda knew these things were designed to be a bit bigger).

    Hope that helps.

gettin sideswipe, sure the robot mode of the deluxe is nicer looking, and the swords are better on the deluxe, but that car mode is beautiful, so i must have it

Okay out of the loop with these. How much are they supposed to be and how big?

Much to my own surprise, I'm almost sold on these... but won't commit unless there are also (in scale) HA versions of Prime, Ironhide, Ratchet, the other ******o-twin, etc. Basically a complete set of Autobots. And I'm really not liking the seats popping off of BB's arms, so that could be another deal breaker.

    Hmmm...

I'm posting it from Photobucket because eventually 4chan will tell someone's hotlinking their images and put up a re-direct notice up there.

I would be very surprised if we get a HA Prime. The bot would probably be nearly 2 feet tall.

    I wouldn't complain though...

Might be a god idea to forget about that, it was probably a mistake. Hasbro peeps showed us the big things coming down the pipe at Botcon, if they had a HA Ironhide in the works they would have shown it or at least mentioned it over Barricade I reckon.

Let's put it this way - They're essentially ROTF's Ultra class.

It's funny. HA Bumblebee is such an improvement over the other toy incarnations of him...and yet Sideswip just falls flat, completely pales in comparison to his deluxe even. Looks very basic, hollow arms, from the looks of it the transformation doesn't look near as involved as his deluxe (his blades aren't folded out from the car itself, looks like he has a big chunk of the car on his back...that doesn't involve at least transforming it like the deluxe). Very very underwhelming.

Can't wait for this line, hope it's a big enough success they can AT LEAST do the ones that make sense (Mudflap, Jazz, Sideways, Ratchet, maybe Ironhide)

Prime doesn't really seem doable to me ~ not that i don't want him, but i think he'd be prohibitively ginormous...

Given that HA Barricade isn't scheduled until 2010, I don't imagine there's gonna be much beyond him, if at all. And it seems like HA cares about scale, so Ironhide and Ratchet would most likely have too much mass.

The robot mode looks WAY worse than the Deluxe, but the alt mode is beautiful

Not quite as good as Bumblebee but still a definite buy.

I'm gonna remain optimistic ~ if leader Starscream really isn't scheduled until Fall 2010 they might keep ROTF rollin' for a good chunk of '10 ~ they're going to need more than 1 new mold (assuming the line proves popular)...
