Buzzsaw looks terrible but I'll likely get few of those Shockwaves. Chop Shop will be brought as well. Is Pipes still a part of 2016 wave 1?

If not I'll grab him in wave 2. That crappy Wreckgar remold is a pass though.

 

Legends Shockwave?

I think it is cool they're making a legends shockwave BUT what we really need is a deluxe or even Voyager sized shockwave to fit the CHUG line. Since an official MP Shockwave is being released, I don't see why a Voyager one can't follow.

 

I guess maybe I wasn't thinking about it, but now with Titan Wars coming, we're all done with Combiners?

 

Wreckgar likely makes use of the additional pegs on the mold that are not used for combining with Defensor for some kind of weapon mode, maybe a saw type weapon.

I hope we still see Kickback, Brawn/Whateverback, Beachcomber, Seaspray, and maybe Hubcap and Bumper in Legends scale.

 

I don't know if "done" is the right word, but the focus is shifting to Titans Return with Sky Reign as the last reported combiner to be released in Combiner Wars, at least for now.

I think any future combiners will be released in the box set format that the G2 superion and Victorion are already confirmed to be sold in.

 

That wouldn't go over too well when kids/collectors got their team and Wreck-Gar didn't combine.

 

Both Onslaught and Shockwave have running change variants. Onslaught's is his chest armour in either silver or olive green, Shockwave's is this.

Hate the maroon transparent plastic on Shockwave. Not sure why they went that way. Taints an otherwise decent looking mold.

Looking forward to Buzzsaw. Just to see him in a different type of mold if nothing else.

 

Ok I understand why Shockwave is bruticus's "little buddy" to reference the G1 cartoon episode "The Revenge of Bruticus"....but really curious to see how this plays out in the IDW comics....Shockwave really isn't a "combat bot" Blackjack and Powerglide did make sense....this ehhhhh

 

There's that FOC Shockwave which like those other's in my lot was just a place holder. There is an upcoming 3P Voyager FOC Shockwave in development so if I do relent an buy that one it'll be my last.

 

Combiner Wars may be an IDW tie-in, but not every toy reflects IDW Canon, for instance

Swindle is probably dead / incapacitated, with the other four Combaticons rallying around revenge for Swindle and Shockwave is very much dead

Not to mention that Slingshot and Wildrider happened and the Deluxe Groove is happening through Takara (at least) and all three don't operate in that context in the comic arc.

 

It's not. Some gimmicks are just for the sake of the toys. Like for instance you didn't see Hotrod take part in the CW story by being a part of Combiner Prime's chest.

 

As far as variant go, I need the silver chested Onslaught and the clear legs (or whichever variant was in the case display) Shockwave.

 

It's likely that Rattrap has Swindle on stasis or something. I don't think IDW is stupid enough to pull another Scrapper or Technobot debacle. Killing off useful characters for no good reason only shoots themselves in the foot when it's time to make future stories.

I have no doubt about it. It's possible that Swindle took a trip to see his Combaticon mates before knocking on the Stunticon's door in CW.

 

I totally want this Shockwave, If he is going to be a gun rather than a tank, he may as well be a gun that others can use!
