That's best Shockwave yet and it's Legends wow!

 

Really don't like the translucent red on Shockwave, dampens an otherwise great figure. Think I'll wait for the Takara. Can't believe I'm saying that over a Legends figure, but it worked for Runabout...

 

Begun, the Shockwave Wars have.

 

When these come out can someone compare Buzzsaw with the MP cassettes to see if they'll fit in Blaster? (and a possible upcoming Soundwave?)

 

Completely different size.

 

WOw..these look fantastic. If you didnt know they were legends you could mistake them (chopshop and shockwave) for deluxe, or even voyagers.

Buzzsaw..LOL..that car mode.. It dont matter. I know if a little figure can "ride" it, my son is gunna adore these things.

 

Hasbro is still going to be releasing normal two mode legends figures next year with the new tape bots.

I'm confessing interest in all of these except Stripes (no connection to the character) and maybe Wreck Gar (mostly because of the existence of the RTS and Animated Wreck Gars).

(EDIT  Not interested in Pipes, either, since he looks nothing like himself. Other than him, everything looks good, even the figures I'm not interested in.

Phil needs the clear purple version of Shockwave that's shown in the case pictures. Any idea which variant will be first? I'm assuming that he'll get carried over to the next wave and that's when the change will happen as with Onslaught?

It looks like Titan Wars is going to get a soft launch with Combiner Wars.

Over CW there's been an attempt to match Legends, Deluxe, Voyager and Leader waves together.

So at Christmas we expect Shockwave etc (including Buzzsaw), The Combaticons and Leader Skywarp.

In around Feb there should be the Sky Reign wave of Autobot Deluxes and Sky Lynx Voyager. The Legends with that are Wreck Gar, Eject and Stripes, mostly Titan Wars Legends. I'm betting on an early TW release for Blaster at around the same time.

Then we'll get Rumble, Ravage and Wheelie along side what's labelled TW Wave 1 Deluxes & Voyagers and possibly Optimus later in the year, probably Mayish.

 

Yeah I'm confused as to why Buzzsaw is in this. Isn't he a Titans Return figure? Why is he packaged for this? I still haven't decided if I'm going to shoot for any of the TR stuff at all so I prob won't bother with Buzz. Just got my latest 6 month Pile of Loot in with the Stunticons, Optimus Max, the Protectobots, etc etc in it and have to say that whereas overall I'm happy with CW the quality control with the figures leaves a little to be desired, which is turning me off of the idea of investing in TR.

 

And still no word on how Wreck-Gar combines with Sky Reign.

Varient? Since when did they do varients? I am just assuming the one in the picture at botcon was a test but the actual one getting released is in the here pictures. Don't much like the shade of clear in the package shots either, prefer the botcon one as its more purple.

 

Maybe the clear Shockwave prototype will hit Ebay for about $200 half a year later. You may pick it up then.

 

My guess is that "Combiner Wars" packaging will last thru the Sky Reign wave and switch to "Titans Return" for the wave after. Since we haven't seen any other CW figures and NYCC is showing off TR toys Bruticus and Sky Reign must be the end of CW (aside from the box set releases).

 

Buzzsaw looks awesome, but the angle of the package isn't very flattering for the poor guy.

 

Better that then his 'vehicle' form!

Nah, Wreckgar don't combine with no bot. Hasbro's just pushing it because they have to press the whole "1 Voyager+4 Deluxes+ 1 Legend=1 Combiner" thing.
